Father's Day was also the Sunday after VBS so Boo led the service...the welcome, prayers, songs, and everything. I am always amazed at how well she does that! There is no way I would have stood up in front of an entire church and done all that as a high schooler!
She did a fabulous job and had some of the kids come help her sing and do the motions. Peanut was supposed to help her lead since R was out of town, but she got sick so she and D (who was also sick) stayed home.
The kids did a great job leading the songs...that's always so fun!
And the G family got to join us for church and present about their mission.
After church we ran to the city to meet up with Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle B, Aunt M, and Cousin E for lunch. It was a beautiful day so we sat on the patio.
T got to open a few presents.
After that we headed to Home Depot and got some stuff for Grandpa in lieu of a present, and then we headed over to see Bug and F's new apartment that they had moved into two days before.
We were just going to take a look at it but then Boo and Peanut started helping Bug figure out where to put things away in the kitchen and we ended up staying for a couple of hours and helping them unpack.
It is such a cute little apartment! Everything was recently redone and it has all new cabinets and appliances.
J came over too and the girls were excited to test out the peephole. :)
Lou was using poor J as a jungle gym.
And showing him her new shoe tying abilities.
He's such a good sport.
Peaches helped unpack the books into the bookshelf.
We got all of the kitchen done and most of their clothes put away. It's coming together nicely!
I hope they'll be very happy there!
