Leftover Thursday

Bug and F flew to a friend's wedding the other day! They had a great weekend trip and got lots of ideas for their own wedding!

Noni got this picture of Bug on her way to her practical where she worked in a nursing home all week.

We were told that our raspberry bushes probably wouldn't produce much until their third year, but in year two they are going crazy! I've already made three batches of jam, we've eaten tons, and there are still tons more! We can pick it completely clean in the evening and the next day there are more ripe berries! They literally turn red overnight!

We went to worship team one day and Peaches said, "Miss A! We're twins!!"

I had a bunch of heads of volunteer lettuce come up in the gravel and I think it is so pretty! It's like a giant green rose, and normally our lettuce is bitter but it tastes great. Maybe I should grow it in the gravel all the time. :P

Play date with friends!

And dinners with friends! We have gotten to have a couple sleepovers with Peanut's friend T while they've been home from furlough. She is such a sweetheart and they have so much fun together!

I looked out the window the other day and cracked up. Lou was riding a bike, pulling a desk chair on a rope, and had a stick through her pants like a sword, and over that was a hoop with a ball attached. So funny. I think she was going for urban cowgirl. Lol.

Happy Thursday!

Say Yes to the Dress!

Bug has a dress! We met up with Grandma and Grandpa for lunch before heading to the dress appointment...Grandpa went home after lunch, haha.

Bug had quite the support team! Noni, Mama, Grandma, me, her four sisters, and her soon-to-be mother-in-law! Noni kept the little ones busy while Bug and I went with the associate to pick some dresses. The associate we had was amazing! She was super sweet and genuine and made Bug feel like a princess!

It's kind of funny but the dress she picked is the opposite of what she was going for! And since it was so far off of the style that she had been thinking of the associate had her try it on first. She came out and wowed us all! She looked so beautiful! Noni got this picture of us all seeing it for the first time!

Here is one that she didn't choose...still very beautiful but not "the one".

When she was trying to decide the associate had her walk down the side of the store alone and picture herself walking down the aisle, and then she gave her a really sweet speech about her future. Once she decided that this was her dress she got to ring a bell and we all clapped. It was such a sweet moment.

She has a dress! It's getting real now but I still can't believe in 5 months my baby is getting married!

See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil

The other day Boo had her two school besties over for a sleepover. They had so much fun together! The funniest thing they did was this see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil challenge where one person can't talk, one can't see, and one can't hear and they all have to work together to bake a cake. It was so funny to watch. Peanut had my phone and was taking pictures and videos of them.

To make it even more challenging Boo, the only one who knew where anything was, was the one blindfolded.

These girls are so sweet and have so much fun together! I'm so thankful that Boo has them in her class!

S made the three of them these aprons by hand and even embroidered their initial on the side! So thoughtful!

I told them I wanted a picture and B said, "Let's pose like guys." Haha.

"And now girls." Haha.

Peanut got a bunch of short videos.

Funny girls!! Looking forward to the next three years with these three!

Leftover Thursday

How is my baby looking so grown up lately?! Her legs just keep getting longer and longer.

The other day Peanut had been baking and left the oven door open after she was done because it was a little chilly in the house. I went to close it later and saw something in the bottom.

Crazy cat! Thank goodness I saw it and no one turned on the oven! I guess he was chilly as well. :P

These are probably the tamest kitties in town. They get carried around like babies all day. :P

We have started leaving their door open at night so they can hunt and learn survival skills from their Mama and Uncles. Speaking of which...when we were still locking them up each night we just couldn't catch two of them and I finally decided to give up and told the big girls they were going to have to learn to survive. We saw one of the big cats and Boo said, "At least they've got their Uncle to protect them." Peanut jumped right in with a funny low voice and said, "C'mon boys, I'll show you what it takes to be a man." Lol. Peanut is hysterical. She is always surprising us with her hilariously timed, quiet wit.

The cats do seem to get riled up at night. I walked outside at dusk to grab something and all 8 cats were around the back patio playing and rough housing. Most of them scattered but I took a video because I thought they were so funny.

And speaking of videos...Peanut, Boo, R, and Bug love to learn dances so I asked them if I could video this one. So cute.

Happy Thursday! :)

Work-cation! - Part 3

The girls spent at least six hours at the pool every day! T got off between 2-3 so he would come sit with them so I could run back to the room, and one time Peanut and I went and did a little shopping. This is the view from our room and Lou is on the slide.

Monday night we went to dinner with Daddy's board of commissioners. We got them Froyo on the way back.

Tuesday morning we were right back to the pool and the lake as well. Peanut said the lake was warmer than the pool. I'm not sure about that, but I wasn't brave enough to go in either so she could have been right. :P She took the little ones out to the dock several times.

And we got to see so many baby ducks! We saw one mama with two, one with four, and one with six.

Peanut wanted me to get a picture of her underwater. :)

And when we were at the pool I noticed that Lou's front tooth has finally broken through! After 5 years she is going to have a left front tooth again!

She is my chilly baby so I was surprised she lasted as long as she did in the pool each time, but she also spent tons of time in the hot tub.

Back to the dock. They made friends with three other kids and played out there for over an hour.

Peanut has taught herself how to read and write in Aurebesh which is a Star Wars language. I didn't even know there was such a thing but it has all kinds of symbols for letters and she can write and read them.

I think their favorite part of this trip is ice cream every day! Haha. Tuesday we took a break from swimming and had some.

That evening we went to the BBQ on the lawn with all the other conferees. Then we left T to visit with the grown ups and I took them to the park for their annual growth pictures. Lou is well over the handrail edge now.

This is Peanut's last picture because next year she will join Boo at staff training. :'(

The girls found some friends and played on the playground for quite a while.

Since the girls could not be pulled away from the pool Monday or Tuesday we decided to make Wednesday our shopping day. After we got all packed up and checked out of the room we walked over to the shops.

The toy store got a cotton candy machine!

It let them pick their shape and colors and then made it in front of them!

So cute!

They all picked something from the toy shop and then we headed over to get the car.

Daddy wrapped up his meetings and we picked him up to have lunch at the drive in.

This duck really wanted some french fries.

Peaches took this video.

Such a wonderful trip!!
