Video Dump 3

We were at a friend's house for dinner and she found this duck in the boys' room. She cracked me up when she gave a little shake of her head and said, "How weird!"

She had a snotty nose one day and had to stay home with Daddy while I took the rest to piano lessons. She wasn't too happy about it.

Her favorite show: Go Dog Go!

And one of the songs from the show, "It's a Clucky Day!"

I love the way she says, "peezas". So cute.

This is the way we wash our hair...

This video is from our trip to Oregon. Lou sort of knows the ABC's. Haha.

Happy Saturday! :)

Leftover Thursday

Miss A, our worship team leader, has been out for months due to a really bad bout of Covid. We've all been taking turns leading and since we needed extra singers some of the teenage girls have been helping out. Bug and Boo have both sang multiple times, and it's really fun to see them up there!

I accidentally left the wipe warmer plugged in for weeks...maybe months...after Lou was potty trained. Eventually I unplugged it, but left it sitting there for another few months before we did the big rooms switch. When I finally moved it I opened the lid and found these very pretty but bizarre crystals had formed all over the top. So strange! It was very old anyway and the plug was brown instead of white, like it had gotten too hot at some point so I just tossed the whole thing.

We had to take Jax to the vet for his yearly check up and he was super hot in the back so we rolled down all the windows. Peanut had so much fun with the wind blowing in her hair, haha! And in related news Jax is just over 100 pounds!!

Lou wanted to watch Go Dog Go, her absolute favorite TV show, so she went over and found a pillow and a blanket and got all snuggled in on the couch. There is only one season of the show and she has seen every episode probably a dozen times, but she still loves it and asks for it every day!

We have been having some CRAZY wind storms! I feel like we're living on the surface of another planet lately. During one of them the girls and I were playing a game at the kitchen table when we looked out the window to see the trampoline fly into the air, slam into our power poll, wrap around it like a taco, then finally let go, flip a couple of times, and land in the middle of the road! We ran down there and it was mangled beyond repair with springs rolling down the road. Bug and I dragged it up the driveway while Boo and Peanut ran around collecting the springs.

Thankfully no one came by right then. I can't imagine what would have happened if it had landed on a car! I want to order another one, but I'm thinking I'd better not until we have time to dig a big hole. Grandpa had already welded one of the poles from a flying trip it took last summer. An in-ground trampoline seems to be our best bet.

Happy Thursday! :)

Daddy's Helper

I can't remember why but the other day Lou was home with Daddy while he was installing the laundry cabinets. He said she picked up his screwgun and started working. :) Just like her Daddy if she sees something done she can pick it up easily!

 I love her "Ooops! Sha-wee!"

He said she stood up and acted like she wanted to test the strength of them.

Good thing Daddy has such a good helper! ;)

Lake Days

We were so excited when it was finally time for lake days again!! They are some of our best days of summer! This year was even better because now that Lou is almost three she doesn't require hands-on supervision at the lake. With her life jacket on I can actually let her get a few yards away from me without worrying about her dumping herself in the lake. It also really helps that we got a life jacket that doesn't slip off!

I'm always freshly amazed at how beautiful it is down there!

The girls put their kayak Christmas gifts to good use! The two kayaks pretty much have someone on them the entire time we are there.

We can stay down there for hours, swimming, kayaking, and playing in the sand.

Bug is often the gondolier for the littles. :)

We also figured out they could use the kayaks for paddleboards! Probably not as sturdy as the real thing, but they make it work!

Happy girls!

It took me a minute to realize Boo was purposely recreating one of the pictures on our wall. :)

I'm pretty sure she's never seen anyone do this...no idea where it came from. :P

I couldn't ever really get a good video but she was counting down, jumping in and cheering "Yay me!" She was also saying, "I jump in da bath!" And kept calling the lake or pool the bath for weeks.

 Water baby!

The first day we took the kayaks Peaches sadly said, "I don't know how to do that." I put her on it, showed her how to hold the paddle, and off she went. This is the slowest she's gone since. Now she hops on and darts off like a bullet!

We have fun when we're on our own but the best part of lake days is when the friends come! We usually end up with at least 3-4 families and the girls love it!

 We LOVE lake days!!

Oregon! - Part 6

Since we'd had such a late night and weren't in a huge hurry to get home we let everyone sleep in the next morning. It was nearly lunchtime by the time we left so we stopped at In and Out, before we headed down the road!

We stopped at Multnomah Falls since the girls had never been before. It was so pretty!

We went up to the second bridge for a better view.

They wanted to keep going up so up we went.

We hiked about halfway before turning around.

Peanut found this cool little cave.

It was a great spot to stop and get some energy out before getting back in the car!

Three were out pretty quickly, Bug joined them soon afterwards. I think Peanut was the only one who didn't sleep.

Thankfully we had an uneventful trip home. A few days later we watched the actual graduation online. It had been postponed because of Covid. The girls were so excited when they watched S walk across the stage.

Such a fun trip! We are thankful we were able to go!

Oregon! - Part 5

For our last evening in Oregon we went bowling! I can't remember the last time we'd gone. I don't think Peaches had ever been before.

We started off with boys vs. girls but then Bug switched over because there were so many more girls we were taking twice as long. :)

Peaches did really well even though the ball was very heavy for her. She tried a couple of different styles. :)

And was shy when she first started.

Peanut did really well! She got so excited whenever she knocked down a bunch of pins. :)

Boo also did well and had fun!

I figured Lou would just hang out with the family and not be interested in bowling. I forgot she's just as big as the rest of them. ;) She wanted to be right in the action and was excited about everything!

Every time I bowled she would jump up and down and yell "Go Mommy! Go Mommy!"

Bug got the hang of it quickly.

Grandma left for a bit and came back after having purchased Lou her own lane! We got the metal rack helper and she had a blast!!!

She kept saying, "Yay me! I did it! I did it!"

"Go me!"

Grandma pegged that one! I never knew a two year old could have so much fun bowling! Her only complaint was that the ball took too long to come back to her. Otherwise she bowled her entire first game straight without a break!

Grandma bought her a second game and she bowled away!

She dropped the ball multiple times. I can't believe she never got her toes!

So fun!

Peaches got frustrated at one point and Peanut gave her a sweet pep talk.

Such a good big sister!

It was past bedtime by the time we finished. Lou was especially tired after bowling two full games!

We all did pretty good on our scores! We'll have to go again sometime!

Cheese!

Such a fun night!

We had to say goodbye the family since we were leaving the next morning. Even though it was super late we stopped an got ice cream for the drive back!

Last of the pictures tomorrow.
