Dancing Girls

The girls have been practicing their dances every day, gearing up for recital and Peaches LOVES to join in. It is so cute. Of course I missed the cutest parts when trying to video, but you get the idea.

Leftover Thursday

Well...parenting fail here. Owning rats just did not work out for us. We had them for about a year, and they never really warmed up to us. Snicker was friendlier, but Doodle would still freak out any time anyone tried to pick her up...even though she's been held a hundred times. She got away pretty much every single week when we cleaned the cage and we would have to chase her down...with a towel...because the only way to grab her with your hand and not lose her was to hold on tight enough that she would squeal like a pig and bite.

I don't know if we got especially unfriendly rats or if we were just really bad rat owners. They are definitely nothing like the hamsters I have had and loved over the years. I found a lady through a friend of a friend who already had 13 rats and studio style pictures of them all over her FB page so we gave them to her and her daughter and I think they will be much happier there. Buggy took these pictures right before we took them away. :(

Goodbye Snicker and Doodle. I hope you will be happy in your new home. :/

At least we have one pet that loves us. I thought she looked so funny the other day I had to take a picture. :)

Put your bum in the air like you just don't care!

You know those neck pillows you can get for the airplane? Well if a 5 year old cuts open a hole with scissors they leave lovely, very tiny, snowballs  ALL over the house. And they're super static-ey so they cling to walls, clothes and all sorts of other stuff. It's lots of fun to clean up. :P

Happy Thursday!

"Dat funny?" - The last installment

I just finished making Boo her "funny sayings" book. It was so fun to look back at her toddler and preschool years. She was such a funny toddler because she could talk just as well as an older kid, but in such a tiny body! I added to the book a couple of sayings from the last year or so.This first one was from November 2016.

November 25th

"Daddy, would you like some apple pie on a mode?"

March 13th

She was writing her friend a letter and filling out the address. "Mommy?" She asked, "What's Caleb's po box?" (Po as in So)

April 23rd

"Wow, I ate an ice cream cone and I didn't get any freezer burn! Umm, no that's not right...what's that word?" Bug: "Brain freeze."

April 30th

"Daddy? Mommy went to the store, can we go golfing?" T: "No, sorry love." S: "Are you going to the  new house?" T: "Yes, you can practice golfing at the new house." S: "Oh great! I'll go get suitable then!"

December 30th

Boo, Peanut, and Peaches were taking a bubble bath. The water was nice and warm. Boo said happily, "I want to stay in here until Jesus comes back!"

Church Talent Show

We had the church talent show last week. The girls' babysitter had taught Bug how to play a song and Boo learned to sing it so they performed together. :)

So proud of these big girls!

Peanut did her tap and jazz songs with her good friend, S.

 So cute!

Pastor's talent was making balloon animals! The kids loved that!

Peaches and Peanut went home early with Papa and Noni for naps, but here are Bug and Boo's animals!

At the last minute Bug and her friend K decided to do one of their dances even though they didn't have their costumes. Their little sisters joined in too. :)

It was a good rehearsal for the dance recital yesterday! Pictures from that soon!

Letters

Peaches knows her letters! Here is a little video of some of them.

She cracks me up at the end with her, "No." Such an attitude on this one. :P

Leftover Thursday

Buggy got to do a Science experiment testing acids and bases with Litmus paper. She loved trying it in the different substances!

Chemistry has been a favorite so far.

Goofy girl came into the kitchen like this one day. Not sure if she was trying to get it off or what.

An assignment for the 100th day of school. I laughed out loud at Bug's finished product.

This baby loves sauces! We kept them away from her as long as possible, but now she has discovered the joy of dipping.

She also loves spreading...ranch. She actually got a reddish rash on her face from doing this. :P

Happy Thursday!

Family Fun Day!

The girls had an "End of Semester Celebration" with school so T took the day off and we had a family fun day! Or as Daddy said, 5/6 family fun day because we dropped Peaches off with Noni. :) This place wasn't really toddler compatible. The school was able to get a big group discount so we were able to go for just a little over the price of one ticket at normal prices.

The biggest hit was Laser Tag! Peanut got super scared for some reason (Boo told me later that she thought it was a real laser and was going to get killed...not sure if that was the case) and was crying really hard as we went in...I practically had to drag her in there. As soon we got going she realized how fun it was and by the time our game was up she was already begging to do it again. We ended up doing Laser Tag three times and they had a blast!

The ropes course was a big hit as well! We all went up but Peanut and I just did a little bit before heading down to the smaller kid area. Daddy and the big girls stayed up there for a long time trying out each section. It was three stories and Buggy conquered even the top!

Monkey Daddy.

I actually don't mind heights but because of the carpet it was really hard for me to focus on where I was stepping! T said it didn't bother him, but it sure did make my eyes bug out! You can see the carpet pattern in this pic of Peanut in the smaller kid section.

Boo was walking around up there with no hesitation!

I got all of them in this picture...Buggy on the 3rd level and Boo and Daddy on the 2nd.

It was a pretty neat system! Each person was hooked up to a pulley thing that could go anywhere on the yellow tracks.

Buggy impressed me with this one!  It was just two ropes in a X, three stories in the air!

Peanut conquered the climbing wall while her sisters were still up on the ropes course and then they came down and did it as well.

We bowled two games while we ate lunch. The girls did pretty well!  After bowling we did our two more games of Laser Tag before heading home. What a fun family day!

And in case you were wondering Peaches had a great day too! It was a teacher workday so she got to play in Noni's fun classroom!  Cutie pie. :)

Thanks Noni!

Grand Prix!

We had a great turnout at Grand Prix this year! It has been an answer to prayer that our Awana numbers are going back up. We lost a ton of kids to sports and went from averaging 40 Sparks a night to 12. Now we're back up to about 20 I think...and that's just my age group. Noni has tons of Cubbies, and the T&T, and Trek numbers have been going up too! Very encouraging!

Grand Prix is always a fun night of, as Pastor S calls it, "Controlled chaos". It definitely is, but the kids have a ball!

Peanut won 2nd place for speed!

Buggy was excited to race her shoe car named "Speeder".

Pastor S did a short message and then the T&T races began!

Buggy was SO excited to win 2nd place for design! It was her first ribbon!

I spent the evening in the kitchen since we have dinner available. Such a fun night!

Peaches loves "tweets" (treats). She especially loves the "sopapillas" that come at the end of the meal at Mexican food. Mostly she just wants the whipped cream. We usually try to feed it to her so she doesn't make a huge mess. Love this expression of anticipation.

Yum!

Open wide!

Wider!

Oh yeah. That's the good stuff.

:)
