Leftover Thursday

Buggy's games have all been on the opposite side of town than S&A's so most Saturdays we've been having to divide and conquer, and almost all their games seem to fall during naptime. Noni has been so great to come get Peaches and take her home for a nap because she gets SUPER cranky if she misses it. Usually Peanut goes with them. This day Daddy got Boo and I got Bug. He sent me this pic of them in the Dairy Queen drive thru.

So we stopped at Sonic. :)

Buggy is so grown up these days...but not too grown up to fall asleep on the way home after a big day of soccer. :)

Peaches loves Cutie oranges and knows how to drag a chair or stool over to get one herself. She usually bites the peel to get it started. Yuck. :P

Peaches has been obsessed with these pink rubber rain boots ever since her cousin K passed them down. I thought she looked so cute the other day with her tutu booty all fluffed out. Haha :)

Happy Thursday! :)

Tournament

Every year the weekend after soccer season ends the league hosts a tournament. The teams we're on have never participated before but this year Peanut's team voted to play. It was a LOOOONG day, but we did it!

Her first game was at 9 so we had to leave the house at 7:45. The girls were a little tired, but ready to go!

Bug and Boo brought their rubber band kit to keep themselves entertained during the game. Peaches stayed entertained by spilling the rubber bands and then counting them. Haha.

It also happened to be Peanut's Re-birthday! She is 2 years old in the Lord! We went out to a celebratory brunch at their favorite place in the world, Golden Corral! And we were so early we made it in time for breakfast, but were there during the lunch change over so they still got dessert.

Best of both worlds! :)

We hit Lowe's for some Farmhouse supplies and had a soccer playing unicorn with us.

Then T and I picked out a front and back door while the girls played hide and seek. They had a blast!

I so wish this picture wasn't blurry, and of course I wasn't able to get another one. :P

Where are Bug and Boo? :P

"Find you!"

"TA DA!" She loves to say this.

It was close to naptime and the next game at 1 o'clock at that point so we met Noni, who was in town, and she took Bug, Boo, and Peaches back to her house. We headed to Peanut's 2nd game where she started off as goalie.

She blocked lots of balls, and they won for the first time!

We ran for more water between games and came back for the third at 3. By halftime the kids were DONE! They were basically just standing around on the field hoping someone else would chase after the ball. You could see they had nothing left. Three games is A LOT in one day for 5/6 year olds!

We picked up the other girls, grabbed a bite to eat and headed home. I had a little present of "What's In The Bible?" Part 11 and a new dress.

What a crazy busy day! And now soccer is officially, officially over! Haha!

AWANA Awards!

Awana is officially over! It's always a little sad to come to the end of the year, but also SO nice to have free Wednesday evenings!

Even though Peaches wasn't an official Cubbie this year Noni still gave her the end of the year Cubbie gift of crackers, cup, and this year sunglasses! She loves them!

Peanut did an amazing job in her first year of Sparks! She and Boo were the only Sparky's (out of about 25) to complete both their book and the extra credit book! Ms. A gave her the character award of Abraham because she demonstrated great faith! Good job Peanut!

Boo also had a stellar year! She did such a good job in her memorization, finishing so early that almost every night she left for part of book time to go help Noni with Cubbie games! She really helped out and we were so proud of her! She finished her book all three years of Sparks so she received the Sparky plaque! Only 3 kids got them this year. Way to go Boo! On to T&T!

Buggy also finished her book this year! And that is saying something! Those T&T books get really hard! They had to memorize long passages each week, and she worked really hard to get them down. In fact I'm pretty sure the T&T secretary told me she was the only T&T kid to finish the book, boys or girls! Her leaders had nothing but positive statements and we are so proud of her!

After the cake and celebration I snagged some pictures of the girls while I was cleaning up the kitchen.

What a wonderful year of AWANA!

Mattress Sliding

We have a couple mattresses in the basement solely for the purpose of jumping and sliding. Whenever I walk on the treadmill Peaches likes to slide over and over. I stopped to get a video of her adorable way of saying, "Ready Mommy? Ready Mommy?" every single time she goes to slide, but of course with my attention focused on her she didn't have to say it. :P She does say it a little bit at the end,. I guess this day she got bored of sliding. Either that or she wanted her Do-do and "Buh" to join in the fun. She sent them down about thirty times each, as well as the little pink socks that are on the mattress. Everyone got a turn. Haha!

P.S. She has REALLY started talking! This is the first time I've ever heard the "Real fun!" She is saying new words and phrases every day!

Leftover Thursday

Peanut got to make a cake with Noni one Saturday afternoon while Peaches was sleeping and the rest of us were Soccer-ing. :)

May the Force be with you.

You'd think by the 4th kid I'd have this down, but I'm still learning every day. This particular day's lesson was: before allowing the toddler to bring a watering can inside check to make sure it's not full of dirt.

Peanut "rolling" with a friend at Buggy's soccer practice.

Happy Thursday! :)

Mother's Day Weekend

On Mother's Day weekend Buggy and I had a "Grown Up Girls" weekend! We actually spent the night in a hotel and talked about what it means to grow up and all the changes she can expect. I thought it would be a fun way tackle some tough subjects, and a special thing we could do together.

I chose a hotel I knew she would love...one with a slide!

She had a blast! We swam that night for about an hour before we had to get back to our room for the pizza we ordered! She thought it was awesome that they brought it right to our door...something we never get since we don't live in a town big enough to have pizza delivery. Haha!

The next morning we had the Mother's Day Brunch at the hotel and then she swam for an hour and half while I sat by the pool and read my book.

We did a bunch of shopping and went out to lunch the next day before heading to Noni and Papa's for a Mother's Day dinner. Daddy took Boo and Peanut to have lunch with Grandma and Granpa.

Noni and Daddy had sent me a few pictures of their weekend. Poor Boo had gotten sick Saturday morning and actually missed her last soccer game. :(  Noni SO nicely took her home to rest even though she was throwing up and actually threw up in Noni's car. Ugh. So sorry, Noni!

Thankfully she felt much better the next day and they sent me a pic of this Mother's Day message. SO  sweet!

The little ones trailing Papa.

Monkey!

Peanut's first time to conquer the monkey bars!

Sweet girls!

Thursday wanted to ride too!

We all met up at Noni and Papa's Sunday night and Noni made an AMAZING dinner of brisket, homemade potato salad, homemade baked beans with bacon on top, and a great salad. It was SO good! We forgot to get our 4 generations picture. Maybe we can one soon.

We know so many amazing and wonderful mother's and are so thankful for each and every one of you!!! We hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!
