Sold!

Daddy has gotten the girls into "good" country. The 80's and 90's stuff like John Michael Montgomery, Brian White, Chad Brock, etc. One of their favorites is Sold and Bug and Boo have the words memorized. Peaches and Peanut were rocking out to it the other day and I had to get a video. So cute.

Leftover Thursday

Buggy has been doing state testing for the past two years, but in 5th grade they add a Science portion. It's a lot shorter and started at noon instead of 9 so we headed in to meet Noni (who took K to the test) and have lunch/play time at McDonalds. For the first time Peaches was able to make it up to the top of the play set by herself!

She was so happy!

Boo made a little bed for their happy meal toys. :)

Chip mustache!

One of Peaches favorite things to do...swing with Papa!

Happy Thursday! :)

The Farming Game

With working on the house non-stop and the rest of our activities any "family time" has been limited to working together on the house. We haven't done any of our normal things in months.

One night we took a couple hours off and got out the Farming Game. The girls had lost one of the characters so Daddy suggested they make us all Lego characters. They turned out pretty darn cute. T was a farmer, Boo a pig farmer, Peanut a girl with a garden, Bug a cactus, and I was a painter.

It was so nice to just sit back and spend a couple hours as a family, and not have to worry about the house!

Peanut is doing great with her counting! She can add up those dice almost immediately!

Goofball.

I was especially glad we got to do this because we planned on taking Father's day evening off and ended up working through to get the roof on so I didn't have any pictures of Daddy and the girls from that day since they weren't together. Here's one from a few days before when we were playing the game.

One day soon I'm hoping our lives will get back to normal and include a few more evenings like this. :)

"Capas die!"

Noni was able to get us butterflies for the last time (she's officially retired now!).

Peaches LOVED them! Every day, multiple times a day she would run into the kitchen pointing and saying, "Capas die!" which is her version of Caterpillar to Butterfly, a book that we have. Soon it turned into "Capas die NESS!" because she thought they were making a mess of their little cup. Haha!

She waited and waited and was SO excited (so were the other girls she was just the loudest, haha) when they finally hatched out and we were able to see the butterflies! We kept them on the counter for over a week waiting, but one never hatched and two made it partway out and died. I think that's the first time we'd ever had that happen.

But we still got 5 and they loved releasing them!

Peaches was so excited she was about to bust!

The wonder of a child!

After hearing it a thousand times she finally started saying, "Buh-fies!"

I forgot this was the same day we realized she had pink eye. Poor swollen eye. It looked much better the next day after just a couple applications of the eye drops.

So happy!

Boo the butterfly whisperer!

Perfect shirt!

So grown up!

Peanut had just gotten out of the shower. :)

Cutie pie.

They all got to release one, and one just wouldn't fly away so he got held a bunch.

He did eventually go, but not after providing several minutes of pure joy!

Thanks so much for the butterfly fun Noni!

Saying Prayers

Peaches has started wanting to pray before meals. The girls don't like it because her prayers are really long. Haha! It's mostly unintelligible, but every now and then we can hear words like sisters, Cocoa, Mommy, Daddy. So sweet!

Funny Friday

This was not funny at the time, but K sent us this text when the kids were playing in the Grange one night while we were working. Thankfully we've been accident free for several weeks!

 Happy Friday! :)

Leftover Thursday

Peaches is in a super-frustrating (for me) clumsy stage. She hurts herself multiple times a day and cries and cries. We're working on being tough, but it's not working too well. One day we had gotten home from an hour and half spent at soccer practice with only one minor bonk at the playground only to crash and burn in our driveway. And it was hard to feel sorry for her becuase I'd told her three times to come inside, but instead she decided to take off her socks and shoes in the driveway and then her coat which she could only get halfway off, effectively locking her arms behind her back so that her forehead was the only thing to catch her fall when she pitched forward into the cement. Twenty minutes of crying later she was ready to give me her new "cheese" smile. She had that huge bruise for a solid two weeks. :P

A Boo in a tree. :)

Buggy went to Chuck E. Cheese on her special day with Noni and rocked the Skee Ball game! 43,000 points!

One morning we were awoken to a blue-googled-5 year old perfecting her swan dive right into our bed. Haha!

Grandma and Grandpa spent the night before the concrete was poured...Peaches enjoyed the extra time with them. :)

Happy Thursday! :)

SUMMER!

The girls were super excited to get done with school and get on to SUMMER! Here is one of the last art projects Boo did. It was a 3D pizzaria. I thought she did a good job! And you can't even tell that Peanut's knee smeared the paint at the bottom when she crawled on the counter after being told 5,897 times not to. :P

We got done with lessons on Wednesday, June 6th but school wasn't officially out until the 15th. Yay 2nd grade! On to 3rd!

And Buggy is on to 6th! Middle school!?! I can't wrap my mind around it!

The girls had been begging me to do "fun" pancakes so I told them as soon as they were done with school they could. They had a blast!

When you don't have to get right to work on your lessons you have more time to play with your sisters! I think Peaches is the happiest that they are done!

They followed Daddy out the door to say goodbye and Boo caught a butterfly!

They got to spend the night at Noni's one day and help with her school's field day. This is Peanut after she dunked a teacher! Haha!

And sneaking in the bounce house before the other kids got there!

So far we are loving our free time! I know I'll be ready to get back in the routine come Fall, but right now we are lovin' SUMMER!
