Funny Friday

I get a scam text or call at least once a day. :{ They come from all over the country...sometimes Jamaica or Mexico. This was a new one though!

Happy Friday! :)

Concerts and Decorating

The other day we took the girls to their first concert...Zach Williams!! Peaches was a little too young but as Daddy said, "We can't not take her! Old Church Choir is her JAM!"

We had really good seats...front row on the second level...the only thing was that it was really high up so I held on to Peaches the whole time thinking it would be just like her to go toppling over the low railing. :P

The consensus was that it was really good but also REALLY loud and REALLY flashy-bright. Haha. It was also really long! Three full hours. One hour of the opening band, We the Kingdom, who were amazingly good, and then two hours of Zach Willams. The music was awesome and his testimony and stories about many of the songs were so cool.

Unfortunately it didn't even start until 7 so Peaches was super tired. This video shall be entitled, "When you're feelin' the Holy Spirit move, but it's way past your bedtime..."

But she got to hear her favorite song played live so it was all worth it!

The rest of these pictures were from the following weekend. Bug's friend N came over between church and youth group and they put up the Dicken's Village for me. We haven't put it up in years because every time we did things got broken. It occurred to me this year that we could put it on the kitchen shelves to keep it out of reach of little fingers. :P

They did a really nice job!

:)

Happy Thursday!

Christmas Tree!

I am a stickler for no Christmas until after Thanksgiving, but I think this was the first year I have ever wanted to put up the tree beforehand! I kept myself in check and we decorated the Saturday after Thanksgiving, although I admit we had the Christmas music going a couple weeks before Thanksgiving this year. Haha.

Lou was SO excited to decorate the tree. She loved the hat and picked out these reindeer pajamas.

And she was very careful and didn't break a single ornament.

The girls love putting their special ornaments on the tree!

I love reminiscing over all the ornaments. It's so fun to think of when we got them and where we were.

Lou looked so little and cute in her pjs.

I set up my phone to get a family picture at the end and these monkeys started taking selfies. :P

Daddy and Peanut put up the star.

And then we were ready for a family picture. Yay! Seven people smiling and looking! :)

And of course a silly one. :)

I feel like I am so behind...posting these when Christmas is already over, but maybe I'll catch up one of these days. :P

Gazebo Decorating!

Each of the youth leadership kids were put in charge of one event this year. Bug's was decorating the town gazebo. She had to figure out stations for decorating, pick songs for caroling, and arrange for the food and drinks. She had to step out of her comfort zone but she did an awesome job! The day turned out drizzly, but thankfully it wasn't too cold.

Boo and Peanut went along to help too. I took the little ones to run errands and shop Small Business Saturday. Peaches got all her sister presents picked out, but Lou couldn't understand anything but what she wanted for herself. Haha.

Wrapping the posts...

Hanging the ornaments...

It turned out great! Such a fun group of kids!

Happy Thanksgiving!

The girls were so excited to be heading to the farm for Thanksgiving!! We don't visit nearly as much as we used to because they have a college guy living with them right now and we feel bad kicking him out of the space.

The girls went straight for the game closet when we got there. :)

We spent Wednesday playing games, visiting, and preparing for Thanksgiving!

Thursday morning Grandma made yummy cinnamon rolls for breakfast and we enjoyed lots of family time! Peanut made the green bean casserole!

Peaches and K spent a lot of time coloring.

Lou had tons of fun playing with all the toys. Here is the adorable outfit Grandma got her for her birthday.

These girls adore their cousin S! And Bug is taller than her now!

We had a first for the family...Cousin S brought her boyfriend and his parents! So that brought us up to 20. With that many people we figured it would be easier to do buffet than passing all the food so we put everything on the counter.

The little ones did pretty well on the Thanksgiving food this year! I think they tried most things and definitely ate more than just a roll this year. Haha.

Good thing Grandma and Grandpa have such a long dining room!!

After lunch most everybody went outside to shoot clay pigeons. Bug finally got her wish...to shoot a gun. Her shoulder was sore from the kickback for a few days. :P

The kids found Grandma's marble-works. Auntie Nae helped them get it going.

On Friday morning Bug, T, Grandma and I headed out around 7:30 for some shopping. We hit a bunch of stores and found some really great deals! Bug also talked us into Taco Bell for breakfast. Haha.

The rest of the girls stayed home with Grandpa and had fun playing and watching a movie. When we got back they were playing outside. The weather was actually really nice and in the 50's!

Friday night we celebrated Grandpa's birthday a few days early. :)

Lou had a snotty nose so we didn't want her to help blow out the candles. Haha.

Such a wonderful few days of relaxing, visiting, and playing games with the family!!

Thanks for a wonderful Thanksgiving Grandma and Grandpa!
