School Plays!

Bug and Boo both got to be in the school's Spring play. They did it a little different this year and instead of doing one big play they did two short ones. The junior high put on an interesting one...it was Mark Twain's version of the Garden of Eden. Very odd, but funny. Boo played a bird watcher. :)

She had quite the outfit. With the big hat and sunglasses it was hard to even tell who she was but she did a great job!

It was like the Garden was a tourist trap. They had all these signs for the different attractions and a ranger station and gift shop.

Very odd but we got some good laughs. Haha. :)

Bows.

Great job Boo!

Bug got the lead in her play! It was a modern version of the Prodigal Son and she did an AMAZING job! But I can't say I cared for the play much, haha. It was very sad and depressing doing flashbacks to how she ran out on a family who loved her very much and wanted the best for her. She wanted to be famous and "make it" and ended up being homeless and hitchhiking home. She portrayed her character perfectly even though it was so opposite of her personality.

She had to be angry and disgusted for most of the play.

She is quite the actress and got many compliments on her performance!

Bows.

Way to go Buggy girl! You are amazing!

Videos tomorrow if you want to hear some of her lines.

Mother's Day Tea!

Our church put on a Mother's Day Tea and my friend asked me to host a table. I really had no idea what I was doing so my table was not one of the fancier ones but I thought it turned out pretty sweet. I used our fancy china. Since none of the girls like tea very much we did hot chocolate. Those are marshmallows on the butter dishes. Haha.

It ended up being interesting because there was a power outage in the town the day of the tea so the men were working hard to get us set up with generators and get the necessities working. We used lots of candles and it turned out to be a very cozy atmosphere.

Peanut and two of her besties. :)

T took this picture in between helping get things going.

And Bug took this one. She was helping serve and Boo was babysitting little ones in the back so they didn't sit with us.

The girls loved it.

My friend also asked us to do the special music so Noni played the piano and the girls and I sang I Speak Jesus. They were able to get the microphones working and it turned out nicely.

 4 generations!

We are blessed!

Sports Banquet

The school put on a really nice Sports Banquet for all the kids who have been involved in any sport this year. T took Bug and Boo and they both got an award! Boo got MVP!! Out of all 22 middle schoolers that played basketball, and she also got girls high scorer! We are so proud of her and how hard she worked! Her coach gave a really nice speech about her too saying he really appreciated her hustle and no matter how far down they were when he put her in it gave him hope they might be able to pull it out. We are so glad she was able to play this season! Daddy said she was too quick and moved off before he could take any other pictures. :)

Bug also got an award...Sportsman award. She said Bug had a great smiles. Bug told her friend, "Just smile and wave boys. Smile and wave."

We are already looking forward to her playing again next year!

She said she was "in a mood" this night. Haha.

Great job girls! We are proud of your hard work!

Leftover Thursday

Bug and Boo had to get up with the other youth and explain what they did on their retreat in front of the church.

Peaches does this crazy thing with her stomach where it almost disappears! It creeps out Peanut so she does it a lot. Haha.

Boo made this perfect ball out of kinetic sand and then took this picture. It looks so satisfying for some reason.

Noni did another "Littles Worship" where the kids lead the congregation through all the songs. They were so cute and did a great job. I especially loved that she gave them all plastic candles to sing "This Little Light of Mine". So cute!

Boo, Peanut, and a couple of their friends sang the offertory. Wonderful job girls!

Happy Thursday! :)

Party Time! - Part 2

Jax was pretty excited about all the attention he got from the party guests. Peanut put a leftover bandana on him and he was pretty proud of himself. :)

The kittens were a big hit.

Good thing we had so many! :)

Around 7pm we finally went inside and sang to Bug and had cake.

Then she got to open some presents. She got a super soft blanket from Auntie N and family.

Her friends got her some craft stuff, sketchbooks, and I didn't see what else.

Aunt M and Uncle B got her a bracelet making kit...but the beads form Morse code. Pretty cool!

Auntie Nae and family got her wireless earbuds for her phone, and Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt K, Uncle J and Aunt H, Aunt J, and Uncle K all gave her birthday money. Thanks everybody!

It was a wonderful night celebrating our Buggy girl!
