Lou Laughs - Part 7

These are over a year old from when she was three.

 April 30th

Lou: "Noni, wun muffin wet. Noni: "Oh no! How did your muffin get wet?" Lou: "What?! My muffin's wet??" Noni realizing...ohh she said 'one muffin left'.

May 7th

During Bug's birthday party she was listening to the guests talk. I had put out the food and explained which options were gluten free because one of the girls needed that option. Lou looked at her quizzically and said, "You're gluten three?? Hey! I'm three too!"

May 9th

She had spent the night at Noni's and they were reading the Berenstein Bears and Junk Food. Noni: "Our heart pumps blood all through our body. If you put your hand on your wrist you can feel it pumping blood." Lou: "Noni...that's not where your heart is!" as she tapped her little chest.

July 11th

Lou: "Mommy I'm sad." Me: "Why?" Lou: "Because I miss Grandma and Grandpa's dog. It's name is Cookie." Me: "No Cookie is Cousin K's dog. Lou: "No! That name is T-Rex!" (because Cousin W's dog is Rex).

Later that day...we had been gone from home for less than two hours. "Mommy?" Me: "Yes." Lou: "I'm sad." Me: "Why?" Because I miss Jax." Me: "Oh well good news...we'll be home in two minutes." Lou: "But I'm sad now." Me: "I'm sorry." Lou: "Why moms say that? Why moms say I'm sorry when I say I miss the Jax."

July 14th

We were at a pool with a big twisty slide. We had been down 23 times...yes I counted...what else are you going to do when you are going up and down a slide over and over? :P After a few rounds she started screaming as we went down, "WHY IS THIS SO FUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNN?!?"

The Play! - Part 3

They had shows at 10am and 2pm and in between they were supposed to eat lunch and rest. The eating lunch they did well...

But the resting not so much. Haha. They were dancing around the halls and then went to the gym and ran around like crazy!

Then they went back into the auditorium and did karaoke.

I love how much fun these kids had together!

They had a quick meeting to get instructions and then it was back into their costumes for round 2!

The girls got the dressing room with the mirrors. :)

I'm going to go a little out of order here...I'll post all the videos tomorrow.

After the second show we ran home to get food and presents for the cast party and then I went and helped set up the party while Bug took the littles to the park.

We had a potluck taco bar and celebrated all the kids hard work!

Little sisters!

They had a secret pal gift exhange and had to say their favorite thing about the person they drew and give them a small gift.

It was sweet.

Peanut got several of her favortie things including Kinderjoys!

Boo's present took the cake though! Her good friend K had lost her cat about 5 weeks before and she and Boo had been talking about it so Boo had me ask her mom if she could give K two of our kittens and she said yes! K was SO surprised and I think everyone else was jealous. :)

So sweet! Boo is really going to miss hanging out with K!

I'm so glad they had this wonderful experience!

Videos tomorrow!

The Play! - Part 2

The bookshop wasn't doing well and no one was buying books which is why the Book Fairy let them come to life...because they weren't being brought to life in the usual way - being read.

The deal was that if they were seen by humans the spell would be broken and they would return to their books for good.

A thief hid a stolen necklace in a book and two other crooks were trying to get it.

Long John Silver happened upon the necklace and stole it.

Bug and F handed out programs and sold concessions at intermission.

The crooks were threatening Miss Margie the bookstore owner if she didn't give them the necklace but she never saw it before Long John Silver took it.

The crooks knew her weakness was the books so they "broke the spine" of Sherlock Holmes when they were threatening her.

Thankfully with Dorothy's help (gluing his book) he recovered.

Long John Silver admitted that he had the necklace.

And Annie Oakley came riding in to catch the crooks.

The book characters had to go back to their books but they saved Miss Margie, and at the end a woman and her son bought all the books so they would once again be able to come alive in the proper way...by being read. Such a cute play!

Bravo!

Bravo!!!

We are SO PROUD of our girls!! They did an amazing job!!! And Daddy did too...his pirate voice was on point!

Congratulations everybody on a job well done!

More pictures tomorrow and videos too!

The Play!

The girls worked so long and hard on their play! They have been a part of Drama Club almost all school year but I think they started rehearsing for the actual play in January. They went from once a week to twice a week pretty quickly and Bug and Peanut both had main character roles so they were required to attend all but a few rehearsals for five months. Daddy only had to go once a week until the very end. He got a couple of pictures at practice one night.

Peanut did NOT like Daddy's wig that he had to wear with his pirate costume. Here she is seeing him in it.

"No Daddy! Don't wear that ugly thing!"

Haha. I thought it looked perfect for a pirate but she did not agree!

Towards the end they finally got to practice on the stage where they would be performing. Here is Peanut backstage waiting to go on.

The last week before the play they had full rehearsals every night but Wednesday.

There were so many people in the play! 28 I believe.

It was a lot of work but it was very effective! They all did an amazing job! I was truly impressed with how well they acted, and how much fun they had doing it.

The morning of the shows they left our house at 8am to get ready. We were so excited to see the results of all their late nights!

The play was about a bookshop where a Book Fairy had put a spell on the books so the characters could come to life. Daddy played a bad guy...Long John Silver.

Boo played Heidi.

And Peanut played Dorothy. Here she is with the book fairy, aka: her bestie, S.

Here are some of the girls from the show. They had so much fun together!

Our three stars!

We are so proud of their hard work!

More pictures tomorrow!
