Leftover Thursday

Bubble girls! I didn't ask Noni how long it took for all those bubbles to pop and go away after we left. Haha :)

A picture for Daddy's new phone cover.

Peaches likes to sleep with her monkey touching her face. Usually no matter where we leave it, it ends up in a position something like this.

Helpin' at the farmhouse!

It doesn't seem to bother her at all (no fussiness) but this is what happens when Mommy eats dairy! Poop up to the armpits!

I took this picture the other day and was shocked by how much Peanut looked like Bug here!

Here's Buggy at about the same age.

People are always saying how much our girls look like each other. I don't usually see it, but occasionally it comes screaming through.

 Happy Thursday!

Rollin' With Auntie Karen

Auntie Karen's visits are always bittersweet. Sweet because she's one of our favorite people and just makes everything more FUN! And bitter because we always know it's for too short a time no matter how long it is! We tried to be thankful that we had two whole weeks with her, but as always, we wish it could be so much longer!!!

Peaches decided that she needed to impress Auntie Karen before she left so she rolled over for the first time!!! And Aunt Karen even got it on video! Noni took this picture of all of us hovering around her. :)

Here's a video of her doing it a few days later. Roll-y poll-y. :)

Boo cracks me up when she rabbit-ears herself. Lol.

We played some trampoline Yard-zee.

Karen got this picture of Mama reading to the girls. So sweet.

And this picture of Bug encouraging Peaches to roll over.

And I love this beautiful one of Peaches. Precious.

Noni and Aunt Karen taught us a new card game that they learned on their trip. It is really fun!

We played lots of cards!

Peaches thought Aunt Karen made a good pillow. :)

"Where ya goin' Aunt Karen?"

 "Texas?!?"

"No! I will not have this!"

There were tears when we dropped her off at the airport. We were so sad to see her go! If they could the girls would force her to move here!

Thanks so much for coming and spending two weeks of your summer with us! We love you Auntie Karen!!!

Lake Day

The weather was so weird when Aunt Karen was here! Most of her trip it was mild to cold, but when they first got back it was hot! Like the temp on Noni's house said 99 one day! For that reason we were able to get in a lake day when Aunt Karen was here! Although as I was sorting through pictures I realize that I don't actually have any pictures of her or Noni...apparently we only took pictures of the kids. Oh and Peanut took this picture of me, haha. :)

Peaches was sleeping when we first got there, and then woke up happy and ready to go!

I bought this suit for her because it is SO cute but I was bummed at how tight it was! It was a 3-6 month so I was thinking she could wear it all summer, but I think this was the only time she'll be able to wear it. We could barely get it on her...I might try to stuff her in it one more time. Look at those thighs! Love it. Haha :)

Peanut had a ball at the lake! She is at the perfect age to enjoy playing in the sand and wading in the shallow water for hours!

Noni and Aunt Karen helped them build a pretty awesome sand moat/fortress.

It was a gorgeous day! I hope we have some more like it!

Somebody painted a big eyeball (monster? fish?) on the buoy thing. Funny.

We let Peaches test out the water. She wasn't overly impressed. :)

The lake was really far down! You can see there behind the kids...it can get almost all the way up to the grass at certain times in the summer, but this was the lowest I've ever seen it. It's also the earliest we've ever gone swimming so that's probably why.

We met several of our homeschool families down there and all the kids had a great time playing!

What a perfect day for the lake!

I hope we get to do it again soon!

Leftover Thursday

This is what happens when you play on the deck next to an ant colony. Peanut couldn't figure out why Mommy was stripping her down so quickly! :{

Buggy's first solo cake baking. :) She wanted to make a "layer cake" after watching the Kids Baking Championship on Netflix.

Our Memorial Day Weekend game.

Anyone who has played the Farming Game knows how many hours this represents!

I got up to do something so Daddy taught Peaches how to roll for me. :)

A June 11th walk??

At least she was warm and snuggly enough to fall asleep!

Bug: "Mommy can we paint?"
Me: "Yes as long as you don't make a mess."
'make a mess' is totally subjective right?!?

The girls got invited to a friend's dance birthday party. So cute.

That's all for now. Happy Thursday!

Bringing It Down

We had a hard time getting Grandpa's tractor back to him. We got it down by borrowing a pickup from a friend and renting a trailer, but then when we were ready to take it back that friend's pickup had a problem. Plus T had tons of homework and couldn't find the hours he needed to get it back.

We thought Grandpa had someone he could borrow from so we were waiting till we heard back on that. When we realized that wasn't going to work T tried several other people and finally found someone who had a pickup and trailer big enough to haul it, but since we had it all those extra days we went out a couple evenings and used it to tear down the second garage/shed.

And to give tractor rides. :)

It IS quite handy to have around! Too bad these things are so expensive!

I used it as a ladder to get the tin roof off. Bug took this picture from upstairs inside the house.

We wish we could have saved this building but it wasn't in the best of shape. Part of the roof had come off at some point and there was quite a bit of water damage on the South side.

However we DID save all the ship lap from the walls and ceiling and plan to use them in the living room of the house!

It would have been a LOT faster to just tear down the whole thing, but T carefully removed and saved each board.

Once he got all the boards out that we wanted he started to take it down.

Here's a little video.

It came down pretty easy.

The girls all wanted silly pictures after I took the video. :P

They always need a bath when we come back from the farmhouse!

Haha :)

We put them to work pulling nails out of the ship lap. This was Buggy's day to shine. She hated picking up sticks, but pulling nails was a different story! She worked really hard and did an awesome job! Boo did not care for this job at all. So interesting how they have their different strengths and weaknesses.

Although they are all great at being silly!  Daddy found these on his phone (along with about 30 others) later.

Apparently Bug was getting quite artistic with her photography. This one is really pretty.

I don't know how this works, but I love how much bluer the sky and how much greener the grass is in the country! The colors are just brighter!

Pondering.

Funny girls.

Well hopefully one of these days we will be able to start working on the inside. The outside is shaping up nicely!
