3 Weeks

Another video of E. I know, I know...probably not exciting for anyone else, but I can't get enough of her! This one was taken on the day she turned 3 weeks. :)

Bikes!

 It feels like Spring around here! I've been holding my breath waiting for temperatures to plummet again and the snow to return, but it really does seem like we're on the way to Spring already! We've had temperatures up in the 50's! Feels SO nice! 

These pictures were taken over a week ago and all our snow is officially gone! AND we even have tulip shoots starting to peek through the ground. When Noni was here one day she took the girls for a bike ride to test out Boo's new birthday bike. 

 

She had a really hard time at first because her last bike could pedal forward or backward and this bike has the brakes when you pedal backwards so she would be going along and push back, come to a screeching halt and fall over. She actually cried and cried this day because she was so sad that she couldn't figure out how to ride her bike. Since then she's practiced several times and has it all figured out. She'll be a pro by summer!

AND since Boo has upgraded, Peanut got her old bike! We put the training wheels back on it and she took off like she's been riding forever!

She just had to figure out how to pedal and steer at the same time, but she's already got that down too!

Funny Friday

Valentine's Day

 We had a wonderful Valentine's weekend! We started off with a trip to the new bakery for breakfast! Third time is the charm? I hope this one works out.

It was about 40 degrees so I wrapped E up in a sling and covered her in blankets. She stayed very warm!

The new bakery is very similar to the other two (same building) with a few little differences. They have bagels which were delicious. Boo and Peanut got donuts. Bug got an apple strudel. They all loved them!

On the way out the lady let them choose a cake pop for free. They were excited. :)

Bug really wanted to make a special Valentine's dessert for her family. She chose to do heart shaped mini-apple pies. She did almost all of it by herself. I just guided her a little. :)

 

The girls all happened to chose pink outfits for church Valentine's morning. 

These are actually the Valentine's bears that we gave them a couple years ago, and I had put away with the Valentine's decorations (which I didn't even get out this year). So they were kind of a re-gift, but they didn't mind. I didn't think they would even remember but Boo did!

Daddy got them candy hearts and m&m's, and we gave them each a book and a Veggie Tales movie to share.

It was E's first time to go to church! Actually she went to Sunday School and only about 20 min. of church. We almost have nursing down but not quite so she and I came home after the first two songs and greeting time so I could feed her. 

 

Since she was only 2 1/2 weeks I kept her in the carrier so she wouldn't get passed around and exposed to lots of germs. It seems like the cold/flu season is finally kicking in and lots of people are sick. 

The girls have been perfectly healthy all winter and within 24 hours of E being born they were all sniffling and coughing. Boo was also throwing up that first week, but that was because of the medicine she was taking to prevent infection in her lip hole. After about a week and half they were all better, but then a couple days after Valentine's Peanut started dripping again and had a low grade fever. Ugh. I don't want them to feel like I'm keeping them from their sister, but I did NOT want her getting sick!

I had to take a picture of our Valentine's in front of the backdrop they had used for the Valentine's banquet at church.

So back to Saturday...we had an at-home game night weekend! On Saturday night we played cards and ate popcorn, oranges, lunch meat, and cheese (the girls love to do this!) for dinner with K's dessert.

I thought this was funny how they are both raising a hand.

E's first family game night!

She didn't last too long in the bouncer so I had her help me with my hand. :)

Buggy started peeling an orange and it made a heart shape!

On Sunday night we played the game of Life and Daddy made us all heart shaped egg sandwiches. We also had an amazing dessert that one of our sweet friends made us!

The only pictures we have of all 6 of us were in the hospital so I made everyone sit down really quick to grab one. :) Here we are with our 4 sweet Valentine's!

Wordless Wednesday

Superbowl

 With a 10 day old baby we were planning to stay home and not watch the Superbowl (since we don't have TV) but at the last minute we decided we should try to make the effort so we crashed Noni and Papa's house. :) 

Noni, of course, whipped up a fun project for the kids to do...making Valentine's bags and cards!

 

The Youth Pastor from our church and his family were also there.

 

They spent almost the entire 4 hours crafting! And Noni also gave them a story/lesson on the history of Valentine's Day...I wish I could come up with stuff like that on the fly!

I think Bug ran back and forth across the room about 100 times and almost every time she did a "kick off" when she got past the screen. 

Since E and I are still struggling with nursing it was definitely more difficult to feed her somewhere other than home, but it worked out okay. 

 

Noni and Peanut came in to help change her diaper. Her wide eye in this picture cracked me up. I think she is looking at the lamp. 

 

She fell asleep for the rest of the game.

So sweet! I was afraid she would cry all the way home because she woke up when we had to put her in her car seat, but she only cried for a few minutes and then went back to sleep.

The kids had a great time raiding the snack table all afternoon/evening.  They polished off a huge veggie tray and two bags of chips. At least it was halfway healthy. Haha :) 

And Oreos for dessert, courtesy of Daddy. He loves to buy Oreos. I found four different packages in the cupboard the other day. Three of them halfway eaten. :P

Peanut was so cute, skipping around. She is very independent these days, but every now and then she would run over to me and give me a kiss or hug and then run off again.

We had fun and I was glad we made the effort to go. Thanks for letting us crash your party Noni and Papa!

I found this video of Peanut and E in the hospital when she was one day old. Peanut's little feet were cracking me up. :) She says twice, "She so ado-wable!" and at the end she says, "I don't know what her nickname should be." That is something we are still trying to figure out. We had a hard time naming her and now we're having a hard time with a nickname! Any ideas?

Here's another video of E doing not much. Haha :) Cocoa is in it too. We haven't been letting Cocoa in the main part of the house as much since E was born, but she has done a great job with her when we have. She sniffs and sniffs at her but hasn't tried to lick her yet. She wags her tail like crazy when she sees E so I think she likes her. :)
