Peaches and Lou have been dressing up more lately. Lou loved this ladybug costume she found downstairs and ran around saying, "Flap, flap, flap" for a long time.

 Another day, another costume, plus a messy face from breakfast and two random gloves. She was being a puppy. :P She does the funniest howl where she goes "arrrooooo!" and I was trying to get her to say it but she didn't.

And in BIG news...Peaches can ride a bike!!! I don't know what's cuter about this video...her baseball helmet or that Daddy is so proud of her! It was a cold day so I was videoing from the window. Way to go Peaches!!!!

Spring Break! - Part 3

The girls love this marble track system that Grandma has and are always building new paths. 

 

  

 

Lou was making a funny noise and I finally realized what she was doing but I don't know where she's seen someone playing a flute...or "toot" as she called it.

 

There was a beautiful recreation center recently built that is not even ten minutes from Grandma and Grandpa's house! Auntie Nae told us about it and invited us to go swimming! 

 

Since the Spring Break weather was more like Winter Break weather we were happy to have a fun activity to do out of the cold. The pool was awesome! It was way more than a pool. They had a lazy river, huge hot tub, kiddie area, large slide that went out of the building and then back in, a basketball hoop, and a climbing wall! 

 

We went around the lazy river at least 30 times! 

 

I think Peanut and Daddy are looking at the climbing wall. I've never seen one in a pool area...it was perfect because they could climb up to ring the bell and then fall back into the water. It was slightly tipped out over the pool so gravity was against them and it was hard work but both Boo and Bug rang the bell and Peanut made it to the second section!

 The kids had fun playing basketball.

 They went up and down this slide at least a dozen times.

 

 

So happy! We stayed for a full three hours before calling it quits. We all had a wonderful time!

 

 

Grandma got a new washing machine and the girls LOVED having the huge box to use for a fort!

 

 Boo and Peanut got to spend the night at Auntie Nae's and the came back the next morning for breakfast. We had fun hanging out with the family and relaxing the rest of the day before heading home.

Spring Break! - Part 2

 Bug got back from her mission trip on Wednesday night so Thursday we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's for some Spring Break fun! It was especially exciting because Grandpa's chicks had just arrived! Lou wasn't quite sure what to think at first but she thought they were cute...

 

 

I think she didn't like the feel of their claws on her hands.

 

 

But she got over that pretty quickly and then was SO happy to hold them!

They were so little and sweet!

 

 

SO excited!

 

 

I wanted a picture of a sweet chick and instead I guess I picked a grumpy one. "Unhand me Peasant!" 

 

 

Boo discovered she could pick up large handfuls of them. Haha.

 

 

We had to go to bed shortly after that but I took them in to visit the chickens at least four other times that weekend. There were 102 of them!

Lou was trying so hard to be gentle but she was kind of a bulldozer. :P

 

 

 

 

 

There was one chick who had a lame leg. We tried not to bother him or let the kids hold him.

 

They named a whole bunch of the chicks, there was Peck and Peep, Easter, Butter, Jelly, and I can't remember what else. 

 

 

If they held them for longer than a few minutes they fell asleep. So sweet. 

 

 

More Spring Break adventures tomorrow!

Spring Break! - Part 1

 Whew! Our Spring Break was busy! Sunday after church Boo and Peanut got to go spend the night at Noni's. We headed in Monday morning for piano lessons since we didn't have school. It was a sunny day, though not super warm, but the girls enjoyed playing outside between lessons and lunch.

 

 

Noni has her trampoline up so of course they had a blast on that. 

 

 

 We gave the girls a Spring Break present...a trampoline for our house! I think this picture was from Saturday because Bug left early Sunday morning for her mission trip.

 

 Boo got to have a sleepover with her best friend on Monday night.

 

 

 

And on Tuesday they had a friend come over for the day because his mom was on the mission trip and his dad was at work.

 

They had a ball and spent a lot almost the whole afternoon outside even though it wasn't very warm.

Wednesday the three middles got to go on a play date for four hours at their friend's house, and then Bug got home that evening. 

They jumped on the trampoline in any down time.

 

 

 Hooray for Spring Break! Now if we can just get some Spring weather! :P

 

 

Thursday we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's for a few days...pictures from that tomorrow.

 

Easter Chicks

 Grandma and Grandpa got chickies! So of course we had to go visit them and take Easter pictures with some of the sweet babies! The girls loved them!
