Spring Play! - Part 2

This is the same song they did at the open house.

And here are the rest of the videos of the scenes. I think the only thing I missed was when they came back after dinner. Bug was the first one up and I didn't realize it so I didn't have my phone out. She poked her head through the curtain and looked around furtively trying to figure out where the PI was. It was really cute.

Wonderful job!!! Bravo!

So proud of their big sister!

Amazing job Buggy girl!

I can't believe how grown up and beautiful our little girl has become!

They have so many kids that each role had two people playing it, on different days, but she sang for all the performances. Her director told us that she had people coming up to her and asking why Bug wasn't cast in an acting role when she was so dynamic on the stage and the director had to tell them she was, just not that showing. Multiple people came up to us to and said how much fun they had watching her!

She got flowers from us, from the O family that takes her to school every day, and from her friend F. :)

Way to go Buggy girl! You're a star!

Spring Play! - Part 1

Bug's school does a Spring play every year...this is the same school where the girls participated in the Sound of Music five years ago. We were excited when Bug got one of the leading roles for this year's production!

Grandma, Grandpa, Noni, Papa, and Mama all joined us for opening night. It was a dinner theater this year which was a fun new experience!

We had to split up between two tables because there were too many of us to fit at one.

They did a great job with the meal...here's Peaches using two hands with the fancy glasses. I was thankful I brought Lou's water bottle! :P

She ate about a dozen crackers off the appetizer plate. :)

Bug played Wilhelmina Watchman, the town watchmaker. The play was set in the 50's so they made her a poodle skirt with gears on the bottom instead of a poodle.

She did an AMAZING job! She was so animated and expressive! So many people came up and complimented both her and us on how well she did.

I tried to get video of some of her scenes.

It was a mystery and she was one of the suspects, as well as the comic relief.

During the dinner portion of the show they sang three songs for our entertainment. Again, Bug did an amazing job! We are so proud of her!

Ok, the rest of the pictures and videos tomorrow!

Baseball Fans

I found these pictures (and several others) on my phone after we got home from one of Peaches' baseball games.

Haha.

Peanut, Lou, and I have logged a lot of time at the fields the past month! Bug and Boo have had busier schedules and haven't been coming with us. Unfortunately we haven't had great weather to work with but we layer up and head to the field several times a week for practices and games.

Lou makes friends wherever she goes. There are several little sisters she hangs out with. This was the first time she met this little girl, but they were the best of friends within ten minutes!

I finally got smart and took Lou's scooter to practice and she zipped around the paths for a full hour! They have extended the paths so there are lots of nice places to walk...and lots of little wildflowers to pick!

One day Peaches had baseball pictures immediately after dance. I knew we wouldn't have time to change her so I sent her to dance ready for her pictures. Haha.

Phew! This has been a busy Spring! I'm ready to slow down a bit!

Leftover Thursday

At Bug's school it is tradition to do a little preview of the school play at the Open House night. Their choir director chose one of the songs from the show. The girls all went over to Mrs. B's house after school to do hair and makeup and get dressed. We were surprised when we showed up to see Buggy all dressed up and looking like a beautiful girl from decades gone by. They did a great job on their song!

So pretty!

Another day, another sick girl falling asleep in the middle of the day.

Peaches made this at Noni's...very good!

Noni also let them write letters in shaving cream!

They loved it!

The youth group's big event for April was a scavenger hunt! They headed to the city in a bunch of cars and had to drive around looking for all the things on the list. Daddy drove our car with Boo and five other kids. Bug got to go with Miss A and had so much fun! And they won! They were pretty excited!

Happy Thursday! :)

Mother's Day

Peaches has been saying she would play an offertory for months now, and then she always decides she doesn't want to so I told her it would be a wonderful Mother's Day gift if she would play for me. She only agreed to do it if I would sit with her on the bench, and she was very nervous, but she did it!

Way to go Peaches! Thank you for the beautiful Mother's Day gift!

Sweet girl!

We did something a little different this year. We grabbed a four generations picture after church and then Daddy and the girls headed to town to have lunch with Grandma and Grandpa, and Noni, Mama, and I went out to lunch at Mexican food.

Then we dropped Mama off at her house and played a game of cards before heading to town to do some shopping! Daddy and the girls went shopping too after lunch with Grandma and Grandpa.

They excitedly told me about this fun cart they found. :)

Noni and I found some fun new things...I got her capris for her present and T had given me some money so I got a new dress, two new sweaters, and a shirt!

Later we met up at the mall. Daddy had let Peanut buy some sunglasses.

The little ones wanted to ride up and down the "es-ca-fa-lators" over and over again. :)

Noni took them several times too.

It was getting a little late at that point and we tried to see if we could get in for Chinese food but the wait was too long so we got Wendys and ice cream in the car on the way home. The wait at Wendys ended up being pretty long too. I found these pictures later. :P

I am so thankful for my five amazing, beautiful girls that made me a Mommy! And I am incredibly thankful for all the strong, Godly women in my life! We are blessed!!
