22 1/2 Weeks

I had another ultrasound today! One of the perks of having one of your best friends as an ultrasound tech. Haha...she is training someone and I volunteered to let the girl practice on me so I could have another ultrasound. Baby girl had gone from 12 oz. to 1 lb. 3 oz. so she is growing steadily. She is also quite the goof ball. She had her feet up over her head for most of the time! She would suck on her toes and then her knees...she looked hilarious! She also wouldn't put them down so when we tried to get a look with the 3D so it was impossible to get a picture. But Olivia did get this cute profile pic.

And this great one of one of her feet. Five little toes. :) They look blurry b/c we don't have a scanner so I just had to take a picture with my camera...something I'm not very good at.

Anyway, it was really fun to get to see her squirming around in there again. She seems to be following in her big sister's footsteps by being a big goofball already. She is definitely a mover and a shaker...kicking me all the time just like K did. It will be fun to see how alike/different they are in personality. Thanks again, Liv!

Weekend Warriors

Gram and Ba came over this weekend for another home improvement session. The guys worked on the outside of the house, including putting up another window (only one more to go!). My wonderfully talented mother-in-law showed me how to tile my entryway! I didn't really get a before picture. You can see it in the background behind K as she helps Gram stir the concrete.

I guess this is a "before" picture. This is what the entry way looked like earlier this summer. The whole floor under it had dry rot and instead of fixing it, the previous owners had gone with the "quick fix" and just tossed a two inch slab of concrete over the whole thing. We pretty much had to just tear the entire entry way out and start from scratch. Thankfully I have a father-in-law that can rebuild houses b/c that's pretty much what he had to do to fix this disaster.

Here is another before that shows that the entry way was totally ripped out. He had to rebuild the outside walls as well due to the rot.

This is the new entryway he built...floor, walls, new door w/ side lights, etc. Here is the "during" of our tile project.

And the finished product...ta da! I'm really happy with the way it turned out! Now I just need to get T to put up the trim work and we have a brand new entry way!

Now if only the rest of the house were that easy...
