Locks of Love

Before Noni started chemo she and I decided to cut our hair and donate it to Locks of Love! I have always admired people who do it and thought it would be such a nice thing to do! And we definitely had enough hair!

It has to be 10 inches tip to tip and in a ponytail or braid. That simple. We put our hair in ponytails and chopped it off.

It was so fun just to be able to hang out with my mom after being apart for weeks! There were lots of laughs through the process, even though we wore masks to try to be as safe as possible.

We ended up doing about 12 inches.

And then we did some shaping to even it up. Such a fun day!!

All you have to do is mail it in! So easy! I would definitely consider doing it again if/when my hair gets that long again.

Leftover Thursday

Peanut taught Peaches a "routine" and one afternoon they performed it for us. :)

We got a big pack of colored dice and have been using it to play Tenzies, Dice, and Yahtzee. And they are just fun for stacking and making patterns too. :)

T wasn't able to make it home for dinner one night. Noni and Papa had so sweetly brought us a Papa Murphy's pizza. Lou loved it and ate two pieces! Apparently that wasn't enough though because when Daddy got home she was eyeing his dinner. Haha.

The girls got out the little card table tent that Noni made years ago for Boo's 1st birthday. They've been playing house now for weeks!

We've had several hail storms recently. I thought hail was usually spherical but twice now I've noticed that it was all in cone shapes.

Happy Thursday! :)

Another Quarantine Saturday

Since we haven't been able to see Noni, Papa, and Mama near as much as usual we've been trying to head over on Saturday mornings and socialize distantly.  This particular day Noni had made some fun games out of cardboard boxes and brought out the bubble wands and butterfly wings.

Lou has a shirt that says, "Butterflies flutter sweetly by..."

Speaking of Lou...she loves being outside playing and throwing the ball to Abby.

This trip she also discovered the wagon!

We went around and around and around!

The girls rode the zip-line several times.

And then we prayed together before we left.

Lou learned how to fold her hands.

:)

Three more weeks till "summer" and then we can go during the week!

"Knock Knock!" - Part 7

June 23rd

At the lake resort workcation...that is cancelled this year :( :( :(
"Mommy? Are we gonna sleep at this weird house?!?"

July 1st
"Alexa! Tell me a joke!" Alexa: "I'm sorry. I'm not understanding right now. Please try again later." E: "Hahahaha! I get it!"

July 7th
Me: "Can you get me the balloon?" She must not have really wanted to because she determinedly said, "Jesus! I'm doin' this for you!"

July 10th
"I love you Mommy!" Me: "I love you too! You're such a sweet girl!" I hugged her and kissed her on the head. She leans in for another hug and says, "You're such a sweet girl too Ma-ma." and pats me on the back.

July 11th
I told her Noni was going to come babysit while Daddy and I went to the dentist the next day. "Oh YAY! Mommy and Daddy gonna go ta the dentist! Noni gonna come and love me and see me and jump with me!"

July 14th
She was on the potty. Me: "Come on, we need to hurry up, everyone is waiting for us. Are you done?" Her: "No fanks. I'm goin' potty."

July 15th
Coming out of the bathroom. "There's my dad! He's my boy! He haffta go in da boy bathroom!"

Door

Oh boy this baby is giving us a run for our money. She is into everything and so busy! Thankfully she is not near the level that Peaches was, but she is dangerous in her own right.

Her newest trick is that she has figured out doors. While this is annoying inside, it can be downright scary when she goes for an outside door which the girls leave unlocked all the time even though I've told them 100 times each to keep them locked. :P

Here she is when she first figured it out.

Aren't I clever Mommy?!?

Phew. We're in trouble!
