Leftover Thursday

Boo made an Indian poncho in Art class and tried it on Lou. I remember Bug doing the same thing to Peaches. :)

First walk! Pawpaw and Nana had sent some money for Lou when she was born and I used it to buy this really nice double jogging stroller from my friend who was planning to get rid of it. It's been working great!

Found her toes!

Noni did us a huge favor and took the big girls to their state testing! It was supposed to only be two days, but there was something messed up with the computers for Boo so she ended up having to go three.

Thank you thank you thank you for taking them Noni!

Whenever Peaches doesn't want us to go into a room she stands in the doorway with her arms outstretched. Haha.

Sweet sisters. I caught them playing together while waiting for the rest of us to come down and do our nightly devotion. :)

Happy Thursday! :)

AWANA

Normally I'm very ready for AWANA to end by the end of the school year. It's so nice to have Wednesday nights free. This year I am sad to see it go...probably because I missed four months. Lol. I had originally planned to go back in January...which would have been the same amount of time I took off with Peaches, and it only would have been 3 weeks missed because of the holidays, but Lou was such a difficult baby that I was NOT ready to come back. Thankfully my friend K, who was filling in for me, graciously agreed to continue. I finally made it back at the end of March and D did fairly well. She got a little fussy towards the end of the night each week, but it worked and we made it through. We'll see how she does next year...it's always even harder once they're mobile!

On one of the last nights the weather was so nice out that T took the kids out to play Big Ball for games. Boo is on 1st.

There she goes!

Buggy on 3rd. This was fashion disaster night, although it's hard to do too much disaster when they wear their club shirts.

Peaches and, "My best fwend!" on Sunglasses night.

Noni and the Cubbies playing Paul and the jailer.

Lou got to watch. :)

Peaches is going to be sad that AWANA is over. She LOVES it!

Sometimes she would ask me if it was time...on a Monday or Tuesday and I would have to tell her, "Not today." When it was finally time she would get SO excited! "Ok! Yay! I get'ta go be a Cubbie!" and she would run for her vest even if it was still hours before we needed to leave. :)

She technically wasn't even supposed to be in Cubbies yet so she still has two more years! She will love that!  I'll post about awards night soon.

"God made dirt so dirt don't hurt"

Whenever the girls play in the dirt this elementary school phrase comes to mind. They seem to think T started digging these ditches just for a new playground. Haha.

They have spent hours and hours playing in the dirt. I love it! It's exactly what I hoped would happen once we moved to the country!

Even though it requires lots more showers and baths. Haha.

T helped them build a teepee out of some of the sticks in the burn pile. They asked for sheets and played out there for hours one day.

Even the cats enjoyed it. :)

The trampoline has also provided hours of entertainment. I'm always amazed at how long they can stay out there jumping!

They never seem to get tired of it!

Peanut's hair was cracking me up this day. It was sticking out full length!

We have a rule that they have to use the buddy system to go outside so Peaches is always asking someone to go jump with her. Usually it's not hard to find a willing sister. :)

Happy Thursday! :)

"Whee!"

Peaches sometimes will burst out in the car with a loud "WHEE!" when we are going down a hill....or even a slight incline. So much joy. Haha.

Leftover Thursday

Lou's first cold. :( She actually wasn't too fussy and had no symptoms other than a super runny nose. She HATED getting her snot sucked out and screamed her head off every single time I had to do it...which was about 3 dozen times that week. Other than that it wasn't too bad.

I dropped her 5th feeding because this is what she was doing when it was time to feed her. I finally figured she just wasn't hungry and she did stop doing fussing once we started going three hours between feedings as opposed to two.

Still bundled up after getting home from soccer practice.

Do-do loves. :)

Buggy made a cake and left her stuff out on the counter one day. I got done feeding the baby and came down to find red food dye on the counter and all over the toddler!

Shockily after some scrubbing with a Shout wipe and a couple rounds in the washing machine, all traces of the dye came out of a WHITE Easter dress!

It took a little longer to come off her skin. :P

Couch cushion fort!

Happy Thursday! :)

Cats and Cross-walk

Peaches is so funny. She loves the cats and I can always tell when she's looking for them. She goes outside and stands there looking around until she finds one.

Then she determinedly makes her way over.

Got one!

They can easily outrun her so I figure they must not hate it. :P

Although I can't imagine that they like being toddler-handled. :/

She is quite pleased with herself whenever she catches one and will carry them around like this no matter how many times we show her how to put one hand under their bottom so they aren't hanging down.

The other day I looked out the window and saw her jumping on the trampoline holding Smokey by the arms! Poor thing! Consequently there are scratches on the trampoline mat, although it's not torn it's definitely stressed. I've told them no more cats on the trampoline!

That same day I was taking the cat pictures Noni and the three big girls were doing the annual Cross-walk.

On Palm Sunday the local churches gather together and walk around town carrying a cross and stopping at various points to pray. I've never been, but Noni and the girls said it was really neat!

Noni bought them ice cream afterwards. :)

You can see the difference in temperature from one week to the next! Palm Sunday was warm coats, and Easter was shirt sleeves! I'm so thankful warm weather is finally here again!
