School Room and Mud Room

Even with all we had going on with baby T is still plugging along on the house getting things done. One big improvement was getting the schoolroom cupboards and countertops put together. Of course the girls thought they were more fun as hidey-holes than cupboards for their school stuff. :)

I didn't know she was in here.

So nice! And so much more comfortable with the padded bar stools instead of the wooden chairs to sit on.

Another project he did was to give us a door to the mudroom which will eventually lead into the garage. That way we were able to stop coming in through the kitchen and the pantry could stop being a dumping spot for coats, shoes, and bags.

One day Grandma and Grandpa came over and the guys started cutting a hole in the wall for the door.

He had already prepped it all behind the Sheetrock, knowing that we would be putting in the door soon.

Of course the day they chose was freezing. Haha.

But in just a couple hours we had a functioning door! Yippee! So much nicer!

He's also been doing other lower-profile stuff like wiring, and organizing his tools into what we need in the house and what can be stored (that was a big project, believe me!). He also made some great bench tops for the window seats in the dining room and the library. I'll have to get some pictures and post them soon!

Foam Wars!

T is such a good Daddy! We can be polar opposites in parenting styles, but I love how much fun he and the girls have together. He is always coming up with fun silly games that the girls just LOVE! This time it was foam wars. He built benches for the window seats and let the girls have the extra foam. He got home from work one night and I soon heard crazy laughter and screams coming from the basement.

I should have gotten a video instead of pictures so you could get the full effect. It was quite funny. :)

Funny Friday

This one is hilarious to me because T's family has a egg based cream sauce that they like over toast and it's called Uff (spelling?). I've always wondered why and they said that's just what it's called. Then one night we were watching a British show and they said something about oeuf. Apparently it is French for egg!

 Happy Friday! :)

Leftover Thursday

Here's one off of T's phone from when the cabinets were getting installed. Cutie pies. :)

Speaking of cutie pies...

We missed two weeks of church and finally got there the following week when baby was 2 weeks old. I got her dressed up even though she never got out of her carrier. :)

So nice to be back! I thought she would sleep the whole time since she had been napping well in her carrier, but there was too much excitement I guess because she was mostly awake the whole time. She and I had to leave early to get home for her feeding.

It's been so cold that we've been having to force the girls to go outside to play with their kittens. I went out one day and found Peanut "baby wearing" hers. Haha!

Peaches is in a phase of destroying whatever she eats and making a huge mess. Almost every time we eat she ends up like this or similar saying, "I a messy girl!" Yes, you sure are. :P

T and the big girls went Christmas shopping two weekends ago so I took the two little ones to Noni and Papa's. I thought Noni and the girls looked so sweet over by the tree. :)

Happy Thursday!

"I so happy!"

I never posted this video of Peaches meeting her sister for the first time. As you can see she was quite happy about it. :)

Recital!

The Christmas Dance Recital was a huge success! I was pretty bummed that I had to miss out on most of the fun and excitement, but with baby being only 10 days old it was a huge feat for me just to make it to the recital with her and Peaches! Thankfully she slept the whole time, and then Grandma and Grandpa came back to the house with us and fed Peaches and watched her while I fed the baby. SO nice of them!

My friend L sent me a bunch of cute pics of Peanut getting ready with her friends. Adorable!

These next 6 pictures were taken by the professional photographer that records the shows.

Beautiful Boo!

Buggy's jazz.

Peanut our sweet ballerina!

And then transformed into a sassy hip hop girl!

Buggy's tap.

There were SO many people there! Even though there were two shows I think there were only a couple of empty seats at the show we went to! That's why these next pictures aren't the best quality...we were almost at the very top of the seats.

I think part of it was post-baby hormones, but I was almost in tears watching my beautiful girls on stage! I felt SO proud of them and the amazing young women they are becoming! The light of Jesus shines brightly in each one of them!

And of course we are SO very thankful for our amazing dance teachers! They do such a fantastic job and the girls simply adore them!

And we can't forget the Super Dads. Lol! They cracked us up once more with a hilarious song/dance skit about snowmen.

My four dancers. Haha. :)

Another wonderful recital in the books!
