Videos

The girls came marching randomly through the house one day. I thought it was so sweet at the end that Peaches waited for Lou when she fell behind. :)

This video got flipped sideways for some reason but I finally got Lou on video saying, "Hum!" which means come, with the sweet little hand wave. She does this any time she wants to show me something, but I've had a hard time capturing it on video!

I opened the window one day when it was sunny and warm-ish, and Queso heard the birds. It was like mind-blowing for him. Haha! He was slightly shaking with excitement and I've never seen his eyes open so wide! Haha!

Boo had to make a marshmallow shooter for STEM class. It was harder than we thought it would be to get them in the cups!

It took me a whole week, with hours spent every day, to get the girls all moved from the basement to the upstairs, and that was after Grandma spent a whole Saturday cleaning and sorting the Lego area while helping Bug get organized and stay motivated to get her stuff moved upstairs! Thank you Grandma!!!

I got three bags of garbage out, which was surprising since I had already gotten several big bags in the weeks leading up to that. Boo moved all of her stuff on her own, but I had to move all of Peaches stuff and quite a bit of Peanut's. Then there was two and half years of "stuff" built up in every nook and cranny that had to be sorted and organized. It felt SO good to have a fresh clean basement once again!

I'm just about caught up on videos! One more week should do it.

Addtion Update

The last few weeks have been painting, painting, painting for me, and measuring, cutting, and shooting for T. Window trim, door trim, and base trim takes a LONG time, but it is also the frosting on the cake. It cleans things up so much and makes everything beautiful.

The little ones like to play in the garage while I paint. They've had hours and hours to do so. :P

Peaches said, "Look! It's Jesus!"

Here's one of the first set of windows to get done. I love the trim pattern we picked. It turns out so beautifully! But it's also a lot of work! Each window needs 10 boards!!  And there were 17 windows upstairs! Seven more are downstairs, so I have another 70 boards to paint in the near future. :P

Boo's room was done first. Here it is when we had a few things in and she was still waiting on other things. More updated pictures to come.

The little ones are not so helpful when it comes to building things. They kept taking my hardware and tools. :P

But they're always good for a laugh. :)

Lou loves the tools and thinks she knows how to use them. She was "helping" Daddy and I put together Peanut's bed this day.

Peanut was SOO excited when her bed got in!

We bought Bug and Boo queen size beds.

Peanut got sprinkle stickers and had so much fun putting them up!

In other news we really need gutters! The basement carpet had gotten wet multiple times after rain storms so I finally put garbage cans out to catch the water and save the carpet. :(

We actually finished every little detail in the upstairs addition this weekend!!!! So exciting!!! So more pictures soon!

The girls had fun doing tricks to impress Noni one day in Peaches then-empty room. :)

Funny girls!

Leftover Thursday

Peaches is supposed to take a nap on AWANA day. It's the only day of the week I make her lay down, but apparently this day she had spent all her time reading or playing in bed because on the way to AWANA she fell asleep. :P

Lou found this frozen hamburger meat that I had set out on the counter and apparently thought it was a great toy! She was tossing it around and squealing with glee whenever it hit the floor. :P

"Did you find a marker?"

This girl could care less about bread, but she could eat cheese all day every day.

 Goofball.

Happy Thursday! :)

Videos

It must be instinctive...the minute I put this fancy dress on Lou she started spinning and twirling. So happy.

Bug taught Lou to respond to, "What are you?" with "Booger!" :P

I tried to discourage that. Haha. But sometimes she is a booger! Like when she climbs up on anything and everything.

We went for a walk with Noni and took the girls scooters. Lou is really good at it!

And then she lost her shoe. Haha.

More videos next week!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Uncle B was in town for work the night before Daddy's birthday so we met him and Grandma and Grandpa at Texas Roadhouse! This was a crazy night for me because it was shortly after Lou potty trained so I ended up in the bathroom 6 times in an hour with one kid or another! :P

The first was the worst...Peaches got car sick on the way there. All ten of us were standing in the foyer waiting to be seated when she said, "My tummy hurts! I'm going to puke up!" I bent down to talk to her and she literally threw up in her hand. I scooped her up and walked quickly to the bathroom as she continued to throw up in my hand! Amazingly we were able to keep it contained and it didn't get on either of our clothes! We got that taken care of and then Lou had to go to the bathroom (for the first out of four times). :P

We had to split up since there were too many of us, Covid regulation-wise. Buggy sat with the guys.

And the rest of us girls sat about 15 feet away at the end of the restaurant.

I ordered Lou mac and cheese thinking she would only eat a little bit, but she ended up eating the whole huge bowl of it.

She was hammin' it up for Grandma.

They made Daddy sit on the saddle while they sang happy birthday to him. Haha. Peaches got to sit too.

The  next morning he was tackled awake with birthday hugs.

He had to work, but hung around long enough to have breakfast with us.

That night we had some friends over for dinner and had a Nerf gun war in the new (and empty) addition!

It ended up being Dads vs. Moms with the kids switching back and forth between teams. Haha.

Those little balls actually really sting! I was a wimp and hid behind the wall. Miss E was right out in the open with no protection. Boo got her a tub lid for a shield. Haha.

Lou used the tub for "I hide!" and made Queso hide with her. Haha.

And at some point she stole my phone and took these pictures.

There's me, hiding behind the wall. Haha.

It was really fun and the kids loved it!

After we finished our war we went downstairs for ice cream cake.

We got Daddy a Lego tractor, a big spiky chain to pull out trees (with his real tractor), and some other small power tools he'd been wanting.

It was a fun evening celebrating the girls' wonderful Daddy!

Next year is the big 4-0!
