I couldn't find anyone to go with us for a farewell summer lake day so I asked the girls what they wanted to do to celebrate our last official day of summer. They excitedly replied, "Chuck E. Cheese!" That wasn't even on my radar, but after wrapping my head around it I realized it wasn't too crazy of a request. We got there right when it opened and enjoyed no crowd for the first hour.
They had a ball running around to all the different games and rides!
How cute is this girl?!
The bus was one of her favorites and she did it at least five times!
I learned that buying minutes is way better than play points. They can blow through 90 games points in nothing flat, but in 90 minutes they can do a lot of stuff! And they are the same price for points or minutes.
The big girls mostly stayed with skee ball and the sports games.
Lou rode this one several times as well. I was especially glad she got to go because she had just seen me blogging about the water park and kept saying, "I go? I go dere?" I was starting to feel guilty we hadn't taken her. Haha.
We were happily surprised to see the big cheese himself! He wasn't out the last time we were there because of Covid but I guess he can come out now. Peaches was SOO excited!
This picture is funny...those are Lou's arms, not Peaches'.
Peaches started crying when he left. :P
The little ones tried out skee ball for a while. Lou kept chucking the ball places it wasn't supposed to go. :P
And Peaches had quite the wind up!
I had to get Lou off the lane several times. :P
The big girls ended up getting over 1200 tickets!
We were only going to stay an hour but they were having so much fun that we added another 30 minutes.
Chuck E. came out again and got more hugs from the littles. I was surprised that Lou wasn't a bit shy of him. She high-fived and hugged him with no hesitation. Much better than when Boo was that age and would run screaming in terror from any person in a costume. Haha.
They picked their prizes and we said our official goodbye to summer!
We grabbed Chik-Fil-A and headed home for a late nap.
Such a fun day!
