Banquet Gowns and Basketball!

Boo didn't want to have a party for her birthday. She just wanted to go shopping and out to lunch with her friends so the Saturday after the birthday we made it happen! I talked Peanut into coming with us so I would have someone to hang out with while chauffeuring them around, haha. :) We picked up S and met B at the mall.

Boo chose Olive Garden for lunch so we did that first. I don't know why I didn't think to get a picture, but after that we headed into the mall and walked around to a bunch of stores. We ended up at Macys where there was the best selection of dresses. The girls all picked a whole bunch to try on for banquet and then we went to the dressing room for a fashion show. :) Here are a couple of Boo's front runners.

This one was her favorite, but she didn't 100% love it so we didn't bring it home.

These three have so much fun together! I'm so thankful Boo has good girlfriends in her grade!

Peanut and I left them at the mall to do a Costco run and they shopped for a while longer before we met back up with them. Then I told them I would get them a drink so they chose Boba. This used to be Orange Julius but apparently it was overtaken by space, haha.

We did a few more errands before dropping the girls off and heading home. A few days later the three of them were working together to battle it out on the court!

It's funny to me that Boo is such a girly girl with all the makeup/hair/clothes, but on the court she is the tough-as-nails sports girl. Her intensity and drive is unmatched and I love watching her leadership skills in action!

She is getting really good at free throws and makes the majority of them. They didn't end up winning but they fought hard!

Boo's coach sent me these pictures a few days later.

Love these sweet girls!!

Sleepover Party!

Turning ten "unlocks" sleepovers in our house so of course Peaches wanted to have a sleepover party for her birthday this year! Unfortunately most of her friends are either too young or their families don't do sleepovers, but two of the seven girls we invited to were able to stay the night.

For the rest we decided to go with a "faux sleepover" theme and I asked all the moms to send pajamas for their girls to wear. We went and picked up Peanut and two of her besties from school and then went and grabbed M on our way home. Peanut took these next two pictures.

The funny thing is that Peaches has been planning her birthday party for over six months and we had decided on a totally different theme. We were supposed to be doing an Encanto/fiesta theme, but when we found our hardly anyone could do the sleepover we pivoted.

The week before the party we decided on the faux sleepover theme and went to the dollar store and ordered off of Amazon to get the things to make up these fun party favor bags.

I don't know why I worked so hard on the theme anyway though...all they really wanted to do was hang out and play. Peaches got these pictures. :)

I enlisted Peanut to help me run the "nail salon" and we did a gel manicure on each of the girls.

While we were doing that R's mom got started on face masks for all the girls.

Thank goodness for Peanut...it would have taken me forever to get all the girls nails done!

We had to get a picture with all their green faces...so cute!

After they washed their faces we had pizza.

And then I put on High School Musical for them and made popcorn about halfway through.

After they finished their popcorn things went a little downhill, lol. Only two of the girls sat there to finish the movie and the others were dancing around, playing Simon Says, and being super noisy. The two trying to watch kept saying, "Be quiet! We can't hear!" It was chaos to the extreme. :P

After the movie finished they came down for cupcakes and presents.

These girls are so sweet!

It was a great group. I was worried about squabbling or hurt feelings since we had 9 girls (and some that didn't know each other) but they played together so well!

Peaches was *slightly* excited to open her presents. :P

She went crazy over each thing and the girls thought it was hilarious so then she started getting even more into it.

At least they had no doubts that she loved their presents!

Every present was exclaimed over!

Goofy girl.

After the five girls went home these four got their beds all ready for the night and then played games and talked until ten. I had them get ready for bed and then do lights out. They were still giggling at 10:30 so I had to go back down and tell them to go to sleep, but when I checked again at 10:45 they were quiet.

The next morning we introduced M and L to pancake cereal.

And then they spent another couple of hours playing and opening some of the birthday presents like this archeologist gem set.

I was pleasantly surprised with how well the sleepover went! We had no problems or drama and they just all had a wonderful time! Lou was a little cranky and tired for the next two days, but other than that it was great! We will definitely have to do it again sometime!

Birthday Presents!

Peaches and Lou had done extra school work so they could take the day of the birthday off. They had fun playing with the new Barbie set and I let them add water for the pool and hot tub.

I made homemade hamburgers for dinner that we ate as soon as Boo got back from basketball practice, and then Boo is not a huge cake fan so we decided to try something new for the birthday dessert. We went to Cumbl, for the first time, when we were in the city to get her license. The cookies all looked so good and they did not disappoint! I chopped them up like little pies so we could each try every flavor. There wasn't a bad one in the bunch but everyone definitely had their favorites!

Happy Birthday to you...

Bug had to work that day so we waited for her and she stopped by on her way home. Grandma and Grandpa got Boo new boots.

And Peaches got a storm trooper watch!

I don't remember what they were laughing about here but I do remember lots of laughter that night! It was nice to have all five of our girls together again!

Lou found a big Make-It kit on sale for Peaches and gave Boo a black dress...the exact same black dress that I have that Boo always borrows for the school choir events. Haha.

Uncle B and Aunt M got Peaches a Bluey and Bingo necklace set so Peaches and Lou each got to have one. They also got Boo a sugar scrub.

Aunt N and Uncle M got Boo a really pretty black purse which she uses every day.

And a game and bracelet kit for Peaches!

More laughing. I love to watch them laugh together. :)

Auntie Nae got Boo one of those curling irons that sucks the hair inside. She has been wanting one for a long time. She got Peaches a game. Uncle K and Aunt J, Aunt K, and Pawpaw all gave the girls birthday money.

So many fun presents! We had a fun evening together and it was so fun to have Bug home with us for a bit. We definitely miss her around here!
