Leftover Thursday

 When we first started putting things in the pantry I just kind of stuck them wherever they would fit and never took the time to come up with a better plan. The new things I bought from the grocery store went on a high shelf that I couldn't really see so one day T decided to reorganize for me and put them on a lower shelf.

 Since we live in the country I almost always buy two of whatever I need so I don't run out. There's no quick running to the grocery store if we don't have something, but apparently I got a little over zealous with my buying since I couldn't really tell what we had. This is how it ended up. Whoops. :P And to be fair we go through at least one of those big peanut butter jars a week!

I had to run to the Dollar Store and when we do that I let them pick one thing. Peaches picked this little coloring book with crayons and was so happy!

 

 

Bug got to go with Noni to one of her treatments. They had fun together!

 

 

Peanut does the funniest things with her eyes. She had a cracking up at lunch one day.

Wordless Wednesday

  

 

Easter - Part 2

 Grandma and Grandpa were able to come and join us for Easter dinner (lunch). T made the ham, Peanut made the green bean casserole, Boo and I made scalloped potatoes, and Buggy made the deviled eggs.

 

 

After lunch Daddy and Grandpa went outside and hid the eggs.

 

 

And they were off! 

 

 

Next year we're going to have to step up our egg game. We had two bags full, but that doesn't go far between 5 kids. :P 

 

 

Hopefully by this time next year we will have no more pile of wood, metal, and other miscellaneous house stuff laying around. We are hoping to tackle the outside this summer!

 

 

I didn't even see this egg...Lou found it all on her own.

 

 

 This is the well. Hopefully by the end of the summer it will be under a back patio/deck with some kind of door for checking it when needed.

 

 

Peaches was so sweet, letting Lou find the easier eggs and pointing them out to her.

 

 

 I think this was our longest hunt ever. Daddy and Grandpa hid them pretty good. Haha.

 

 

It also helps that they had 2 acres to cover. Haha.

 

 

Thankfully Lou didn't find too many eggs since she stopped and ate the chocolate and jelly beans out of most of them as soon as she found them. Here she is in her wrong-foot boots because she insists that, "I doot!" (I do it) and hardly ever gets them on the right foot. :P

 

 

 

 

 

After the egg hunt and naps the younger three painted their things: an elephant for Peanut, a unicorn for Peaches, and a butterfly for Lou.

 

 

We had a nice relaxing evening, tried not to work on the house, and played a game together before bed. It was a wonderful celebration of our risen Lord!

Easter - Part 1

 Peanut asked if she could make a cake for Easter. This is the design she and Buggy came up with. :)

 

 

Boo said she had to get her daily selfie on Easter morning while Daddy was preparing the ham. :P

 

 

We ended up not having enough time to do Easter baskets before church so we did them after we got home. 

 

 

They each got a little wooden cut out to paint. Daddy bought the two little ones chocolate unicorns and the three older girls got chocolate dinosaur eggs...not quite the traditional bunnies. Haha.

 

 

I totally forgot until we were already at church that I had bought Boo new sandals that I meant for her to get to wear to church that morning. Whoops. Thankfully they were a bit big so she'll be able to wear them all summer. 

 

 

 Peanut got a romper and Buggy got a shirt.

 

 

 

This was not part of my Easter plans, but a couple nights before the girls and I were at Walmart and they were looking at the toys. Lou LOVED this little learning dog and there was a whole end cap of them clearanced out for $7 dollars so we snuck it in the basket for her. This is blurry but you can see how happy she is!

 

 

Daddy found a stuffed unicorn for Peaches.

 

 

They all got new books and puzzles.

 

 

And a glow ball from the dollar store.

 

 

Lou thought the unicorn was a toy at first and hugged it. 

 

 

I told her it was chocolate so then she gave it a taste and said, "YUM!"

 

 

 She was carrying the dog on her hip like a baby. :)
