Coloring Eggs

Wednesday night, after Awana, Boo Bear went home with Noni and had her solo-sleepover.  Buggy and I did school Thursday morning, went out to lunch with Daddy and got Buggy ice cream, and then headed to Noni’s for some Easter Egg dyeing.

The girls were so excited.  I was thinking back to last Easter when we died eggs with Anneka and Ella…that seems like years and years ago!  Baby Ike was just a few weeks old and I was just a few months pregnant with Peanut!

Noni made this year just as exciting even though we didn’t have friends to help us. She had tons of dye, stickers, markers, and lots of eggs!

Boo Bear didn’t quite get as messy this year…but close. :)

Buggy was quite the professional.

Cheerios

Peanut is finally starting to find some foods she likes!  Strangely enough the first food she started really eating was tortillas.  We were at Mexican food one day and T tore off a piece of his tortilla and fed it to her.  She was actually opening her mouth for more, rather than clamping her lips shut.

Since then she has found a new favorite…Cheerios! She loves them!  She will sit and eat Cheerios for as long as you let her, and she actually getting really good at putting them in her mouth.

She’s still not real big on the pureed foods yet.  Grandma and Grandpa brought us some homemade applesauce last weekend and for the first time ever she was voluntarily opening her mouth for me to spoon it in.  Usually I just kind of set the spoon next to her mouth and she will accidently get some in. :)  So hopefully she’ll start to be a little more excited about her other foods now.

Leftover Thursday

Here is a smattering of random pictures that never got into any posts…

Bug laid the Snow White dress on top of Peanut one day and made us laugh because it looked like she was really wearing it. :)

Boo drew this when we were making Valentines…a heart with an arrow through it!

These are their piano practice “charts” at Noni’s house.  I loved how Bug’s curved over at the point where she could no longer reach. :)

Aunt Karen doesn’t like frogs so whenever the girls find one they want to “scare” her with it.  Boo picked out these gummy frogs at the store for a treat and they insisted I take a picture and text it to her. :)

Apparently one of them thought Peanut needed some toys in her crib…

Hugs for Daddy.

Noni and I took them to get their pictures done last week and it was apparently an exhausting experience. :)

Pretty girl.

The other day when Noni was over we did some rearranging of the toys.  We moved Boo’s kitchen out, put the castle and all the little princess dolls in Boo’s playroom and put the bookshelf and Barbies in Bug’s playroom.  I did not add or take away a single toy, but you would have thought it was Christmas!  They played upstairs for two days straight, only coming down when asked!

We bought some trays to start seeds so Daddy and the girls spent some time getting things planted.

Our girls are very much “girly” girls.  They love to wear fancy dresses.  Boo is almost always wearing a fancy dress.  She was wearing out the two really nice ones we had so I finally went to a children’s consignment store and bought up some of the “Easter” dresses they had.  The one above was a birthday present.  As I type she is sitting here on my lap wearing a very fancy cream colored rose and tulle and satin number that I got on sale after Christmas.

Well, that’s enough randomness for one day. Smile

Would this be a “chip on her shoulder” or a “chip off the old block”? :)

Hijacked

The other day I was cleaning up my pictures on my phone when I found these…apparently my phone was hijacked when I wasn’t looking.  Here is a small sampling…I found 26 photos.

A clue as to who was taking the pictures…I know who those tights belong to!

And the incriminating evidence.  If one is IN the picture, then the other must be the one taking them!

Apparently she was just giving me some photographic evidence of the fact that I need to clean Peanut’s room! :)

Make A Joyful Noise

Boo Bear’s Cubbie group got to sing at church yesterday.  It was too cute. They all trooped up there and Noni got them sorted out and in some order.

It took a second for them to get the hang of it…

There we go!

cubbies2

Adorable.  They sang two songs and two of the kids said a little phrase.

cubbies3

Both songs were great, but I loved the one with the hand motions.  Seriously cute.

That was:

Have I not commanded you be strong and courageous, do not be terrified, do not be discouraged for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. ~ Joshua 1:9

That’s the verse we sing when the girls are afraid of the dark or have a bad dream. :)

The other song was Romans 3:23

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Love it.

Grandma, Grandpa, Mama, Uncle Rick, Aunt Diane, and cousin Ricki all came to see Boo Bear sing and we had everybody over for lunch afterwards.  She was pretty excited!

Thanks for coming everybody!  Good job Cubbies!

Eggs

The girls have been wanting to dye eggs for the past few weeks and so we got a foam egg kit for them to do.  They spent over an hour decorating.

Boo Bear was being especially adorable so I had to get this video of her.

Love it.

Buggy looked pretty darn cute herself. :)

We’re looking forward to Easter, and this week I’ll actually let them dye some real eggs! :)

One-On-One

Last weekend Buggy requested a solo-sleepover at Noni and Papa’s.  The girls have really been getting along the last few weeks.  They’ve been playing much nicer together, and have been together almost every waking moment lately.  I was happy to give them a little one-on-one time since, as they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder. :)

T had his first baseball game of the season and had to wake up at 6:30…on a Saturday…to be to the field for batting practice before the bus left. :P  The girls and I had a leisurely morning and then headed to town.

We dropped Buggy off and Noni’s and drove to the baseball game.  We made it for the last 45 minutes of the 2nd game and I just stayed in the car to watch since both the littles were out cold. :)

IMG_1146

After the game we headed over to Target for “cop-corn” and a “swush-ie” as a special treat for Boo.  We did some shopping and then had to make a stop at Home Depot for a few supplies for the latest project.

IMG_1147

Boo was playing baby and wanted to “sweep” in the basket.

IMG_1151

Peanut was having a grand old time with her teething ring.

IMG_1149

She kept whipping it above her head and then down to her stomach and laughing at herself. :)

Boo picked pizza for dinner and we got her an ice cream cone on the way home. She was being really funny when we got home so I got a short video of her.

It’s her turn to spend the night at Noni and Papa’s this weekend so we’ll have to see what Buggy chooses to do on her day with Mommy and Daddy. :)
