Spring Recital–Part 2

Okay the rest of the dance recital, BUT I cannot upload any more videos for some reason. I’ve been trying all day. :( I’ll keep trying, but for now here are the pictures.

Buggy’s ballet was Castle On A Cloud.

dance10

Boo’s ballet was April Showers from Bambi. I loved both of their ballet costumes! So pretty.

dance11dance12

Buggy rocked out to her jazz routine, Get Off of My Cloud. Love how you can see the attitude from the back. :)

dance13

She did a great job…so sharp on her moves! I especially loved this one with the hip pop.

dance14

Boo’s group was adorable in yellow for their tap, Good Day Sunshine.

dance15

Final bows.

dance16

And the whole company. A lot of little dancers for such a small town!

dance17

A month or so ago I was looking online and saw this shirt for $3 so I had to get it for Peanut to wear to the Rain or Shine recital! :) She wanted to dance on the stage after the show.

dance18

And we had to get pictures with their dance teachers. This has been such an amazing year! The girls learned SO much and we have been so impressed with the professional way these ladies run their dance company. We are already excited about next year!!!

dance19dance20

After the dance recital we went home and had a traditional “Easter” dinner with Grandma, Grandpa, Noni, Papa, and Mama since Noni and Papa won’t be able to come over next Sunday.

I thought the girls would be exhausted after 4+ hours spent rehearsing and doing the show, but they had energy to spare and had to drag out their bikes and show Grandma how much better they can ride this year!

What a fun day!

Spring Recital!

The girls had their big dance recital yesterday! They did SUCH a great job and we were so proud of them! The theme this time was Rain or Shine so all the songs had to do with rain, sun, clouds, etc.

Boo and T.

Buggy’s tap group.

And Boo’s jazz. You can probably imagine how hard it is to get 10-15 3-5’s to pose and smile at the same time! :)

dance2

I had to take a picture of the backstage area..so much makeup and hairspray! Haha :)

dance3

Buggy’s first number was Singing In the Rain and was one of my favorites! I loved the umbrellas!

dance4dance5

Here’s the video.

Boo was up next with Annie’s It’s A Hard Knock Life.

dance6

Buggy looked so grown up and beautiful in her tap outfit! Love this girl!

dance7dance8

Boo’s hip hop was ADORABLE! Seriously cute!

Okay, well it’s taken me hours to upload these videos so we’ll have to have part two tomorrow.

“I larious!”–Part 6

January 2nd

Peanut was looking at scrapbooks that were dated before she was born. She looks up at me, “Where me?” then she smiles like she was being silly, “I KNOW! I hiding Mommy’s tummy!”

January 5th

For those who don’t know I’m kind of a anti-thesis of the girls-love-chocolate theory. It’s ok and I’ll eat it every now and then, but there are many other things I’d rather have. The girls however, are total chocolate lovers! It was pizza movie night; I went to the kitchen to put away a couple of the dishes. When I came back into the living room she looked at me expectantly, “You got chocolate??”

January 9th

She comes bursting into the bathroom while I was getting ready. “You need pi-vacy? I shut the door!” “No, I told her,” I’m just curling my hair.” She looks at me curiously and then a light goes off in her head, “OH! You like a moose!?” Thankfully after I remembered our Mooseltoe book where they curl the mooses’ hair into the shape of a Christmas tree. Otherwise I might have been very offended! :)

January 10th

She was doing a coloring page in her highchair. It was an activity page with a little maze. She scribbled on it a bit, and then yelled, “I WON!” Boo looks over at her, “You won?” Peanut made a mad face at her, “No! I two!”

January 12th

The girls were arguing and came into the room. “Mommy!” K pointed, “Peanut says that’s hers but it’s really mine!” Me: “That doesn’t make it true.” T: “I can say the sky is pink! And that doesn’t make it true, does it?” A looks mad, “No! The sky lel-low!”

Leftover Thursday

Just a few leftover pictures…

Coloring at dance class while waiting for their big sister during the once-a-month open session.

Bug had to do a book review and presentation for school. I was so proud of her! This was her practice. When she did it for the family she even dressed up! She spoke clearly, at a great pace and did an awesome job hitting all the points on the “Presentation Checklist”.

When you have three girls you can expect huge loads of laundry that are primarily pink!

We didn’t have Peanut’s pack and play at Noni’s the other day but she did just fine in her pillow-crib. :)

anap

Bug went and grabbed a pillow, Koala, and her blanket before we started Literature. She leaned back and said, “Ahh! This is the life.” Haha :)

Down on the Farm–Part 2

One of the things the kids really enjoy at the farm is the hot tub! Peanut was so excited to get in and was very proud of her swimsuit. It doesn’t seem like that long ago that I was buying this for Bug!

farm18

Waylon brought hot tub toys for everyone: measuring cups, spoons, and a bowl. :)

farm19

Boo Bear is our chilly girl so she loves the hot tub the most!

farm20

After they soaked for a while I brought them in and gave them baths. As soon as they got done and into jammies they ran back outside so they could participate in a little firework fun!

farm21

These were just a few leftover from the 4th of July, but they loved it!

farm22

I had to take a picture of Buddy. He’s got to be the prettiest barn cat ever! Haha :) I told Grandpa he looks like he should be living with a wealthy old lady sitting on a purple velvet pillow and eating Fancy Feast! Instead he lives in the shop and climbs ladders and follows Grandpa around wherever he goes.

farm23

Peanut loved little M! She wanted to hold her so badly and was thrilled when she finally got to.

farm24

Boo also wanted a turn with the littlest cousin. M is SO cute! And such a happy baby! She smiles at the drop of a hat and is quite entertaining!

farm25

Peanut loved the freedom of being able to run and play outside, chasing after the big kids.

farm26

She got to help Grandpa feed the birds both mornings.

farm27

One of the biggest hits was the Coot, or the “Red Baron” as the side of the little car says. Apparently T and Uncle B used to run all over the place in this thing, but it hasn’t worked in twenty-ish years. The guys all spent a long time fixing it up at the shop and got it running again. All the kids got a turn riding in it and had a blast!

I missed getting a picture with Bug, but here’s Boo.

farm28

And Peanut.

farm29

And Waylon is tucked in behind his Daddy so far you can’t see him. :)

farm30

They had SO much fun! We had three exhausted girls on the way home! I think they spent every ounce of energy they had and then some! Peanut was asleep within miles of the house and Boo wasn’t far behind. What a wonderful, fun weekend with the family!!!
