Leftover Thursday

Playing with Abby. :)

And catching Smokey.

Dedicating the new building we are starting at church.

T was cleaning up a big pile of sticks/dead grass and accidentally disturbed a quail nest. The girls were quite upset. We saved the eggs and sent them home with a friend who had broody chickens, but they ended up disappearing so she thought something got them. Whoops. :( Thankfully we saw 14 little quail babies a few weeks later so we must not have gotten them all.

Goofy girl.

Speaking of which...

One day I came downstairs and noticed how long those little legs are getting!

Happy Thursday! :)

Big Helper

I was looking at these pictures trying to remember why we only had one helper this day...I think this was the day Noni took the big girls to the field trip.

She wanted to help Daddy, but she wasn't quite strong enough to hold the stick. :)

So I helped her hold it straight.

She was so cute in there...you could barely see her little head.

She found a big earthworm and built a little house for him. :)

Cutie pie.

She insisted on this bow placement and would not let me put in in the "normal" spot on her pony. She wanted it right there!

She sure loves the kitties!

Later I looked around and couldn't find her, and then realized she'd gone further into the ditch and I just couldn't see her. :)

Funny girl.

Jimmy Rigging the Johnny Jumper

Here are some pictures of the digging process. We've already gotten way past this point, so it's fun to look back at these!

Grandma and Grandpa came over after church one day to help us do some figuring.

After we tore the siding off the house we started getting mice again. T caught 7 in less than 24 hours one day. Grr. So I took a couple cans of spray foam and spent an hour foaming every crack and insulation hole. After that we only caught two more and haven't had a new one since. Hopefully they'll stay out now!!!

We talked Grandma and Grandpa into staying for dinner...and playtime. :)

And then Daddy and Grandpa figured out a way to hang the Johnny Jumper even though we don't have a single door frame in our house. Lol.

They "Jimmy Rigged" it off the beam in the kitchen.

You can't tell here, but she loves it!

This video was one of the first times, now she just bounce, bounce, bounces!

I'm grateful for it since it buys me time to make dinner with two hands. Haha!

Parading

Back in May Daddy got to be part of a local parade with the hospital. Boo and Peanut went with him. Bug was taking a babysitting class that day at the hospital. Her class was from 9-3 and she learned so much! She learned babysitting skills and techniques plus she learned first aid, including how to do CPR and the Heimlich maneuver! It was a great class and I'm glad she now has these important skills!

I brought Peaches and Lou to the parade and Peaches was SO excited! She loved watching everything and especially getting tons of candy! There was an older couple standing next to us that kept giving her the candy they picked up since she was so cute. :)

She got even more excited when she saw Daddy and her sisters!

We bought the kids wristbands so they could do the inflateables. They jumped and waited in line and jumped again for over an hour!

Boo patiently waited in line for over 30 minutes to get to do the bungee trampoline. She was really good at it and did a bunch of backflips.

Peaches loves trains and was super excited to see this little one so we went for a ride.

Lou wasn't overly impressed, but she didn't cry.

Daddy took this picture when we went by the hospital booth.

I headed home with Lou and Daddy and the girls were going to be right behind me, but they talked him into staying longer for more jumping. :)

Boo and Peanut both got to do the trampoline before coming home.

We spent the rest of the day working on the house! I'll have to post some updates soon. So far it's just been a lot of digging and setting forms, but it's progress!

Field Trip!

Since Boo's teacher is local we've been able to see her several times over the year!

She planned a fun outing for her class, and Noni was able to take the big girls. It was a three part outing...first up was games at a local bookstore. That was the reason I didn't want to take the little ones...I could just imagine the destruction the happy hurricane would incur spending a couple hours in a upscale bookstore! :P

Noni got lots of great pictures so I could see the fun they were having!

The second part of the outing was a picnic lunch.

And the third part was that Mrs. B bought all the kids an all day pass to the carousel! So nice! The girls were so excited!

Noni said they rode the carousel over a dozen times!

Apparently Peanut was trying to catch a bird. Lol!

I don't know what she would have done if she'd caught one! Haha!

They had such a blast! Noni even bought them ice cream before they left! What a great day!

We will miss Mrs. B! She is a great teacher! So sweet. Maybe Peanut will get her in a couple years!
