Happy Birthday Noni!

We took a time out from our wedding to-do lists to have a little birthday party for Noni!

We had Panda and played cards. The little ones started playing with us, but gave up after a few rounds.

Abby took their place. :)

After the game we sang happy birthday and ate the carrot cake Papa made and Noni had made peanut clusters for those of us who don't like carrot cake. Yum!

Then we let Noni open her presents. We got her a puzzle.

The happy couple! I'm really happy they are going to be close by for a while! It makes it not so hard to let go.

The girls made Noni sweet cards.

And we also got her a t-shirt that says Noni's Garden at the top and then has 8 flowers with each of the grandkids names written in the stem. My friend C made it for me.

It was a wonderful, relaxing night of hanging out with the family. Hopefully now that the wedding and Christmas are past we can enjoy a few more relaxing nights in our near future!

Lou's Special Day!

This is a few weeks old but...

Lou almost missed her special day because she came down with a bad cold, but Noni let her come anyway and they ended up having a wonderful time! Their first stop was Walmart for juice, mac and cheese, and Lou picked out a Bluey Lego set!

 All finished!

They rested and watched some TV, and the next day Lou was feeling better. They did devotions in the morning.

I love the way she spelled Jesus at the bottom. :)

She said they got donuts and went shopping and went to the pottery place where she made an axolotl. Noni also bought her an adorable new dress/jumper. She had a wonderful time! Her pottery came back a week later and it is adorable!

Here she is using the new Lite Brite from Mama.

And a few days later she lost another tooth when we were at church! I love this puzzle piece mouth phase.

She may be growing up but she is still our silly girl! "Mommy! Take my picture with this towel on my head so I can see what it looks like!" Haha.

We are loving 7!

Merry Christmas!

With all the wedding planning I didn't have to time or energy to do a family photo shoot this year so I just grabbed some of our Disneyland pictures to do a card, haha. It turned out cute but definitely not our normal style!

Hopefully next year I'll have the time, but then I'll have to decided if we should include K and F in our picture or see if they're going to do their own...so many changes! We hope you all have a wonderful day celebrating our Lord's birth!

Basketball!

Basketball has begun!

And Boo is a force to be reckoned with! She is point guard and her leadership skills are incredible! She has so much confidence and is a quick thinker. She follows her coaches orders and executes the plays with precision.

Her first game she made 8 points! She also had lots of rebounds!

She is great at volleyball but basketball is definitely her true love!

It is so fun to watch her out there playing her heart out.

She gives it all she has and leaves it all on the floor...literally. Bug and Peanut counted that she was on the floor over 10 times and she came home covered in bruises, but no one can accuse her of not giving it her all!

These girls fought so hard! They started the season as a JV only team but they only lost to the best team in our league by 4 points so the league officials told them they needed to bump up to Varsity! That means a few more games, but it also means they can letter. We are proud of our tiny little school being so competitive this year!

Their second game was two hours away. I usually don't go to this one but I really wanted to see Boo play! My friend B came with Peanut and I and Noni kept the little ones so they didn't have to make the big drive. We got there just after they started and I ran to the bathroom. When I came out the boys coach told me I just missed Boo scoring! Bummer.

But I got to see her score three more times plus a free throw! The first game she scored 8 and the second 9 so I told her the third game she has to score 10. Haha.

The first half was rough. This team is really good and they were down by 20, but they really stepped it up in the second half and ended up losing by only 9 points!

Boo went up to block this shot...

and then got the rebound.

And took off!

It's so fun to watch these girls improving their skills and getting better with each game! Looking forward to lots more games this season!

Black Friday!

Black Friday was a fun day for everyone! Auntie Nae and Cousin K came back over to Grandmas for the day to hang out with Lou and Peaches and they brought Checkers, K's bunny!

Auntie Nae said they loved her until she peed on a blanket and then they were over it. Haha.

The got to go for a walk, play in the shop, play games, and make life-size gingerbread girls!

Meanwhile the rest of us were shopping up a storm! These are the only pictures we got while shopping.

Cowgirl Peanut!

We got almost all our lists checked off before heading to lunch at a place I've been wanting to try for years because it was featured on Diners, Drive In's, and Dives. Bug and F hadn't eaten breakfast so they ate earlier, but Boo and Peanut both got meals recommended by Guy Fieri!

These two are a hoot and so fun to hang out with!

We did some more shopping, got Sonic, and made it back to the house about 4. We had Thanksgiving leftovers and Peanut made Grandpa a red velvet cake so we could celebrate his birthday. Happy Birthday to you...

He opened his presents...

we got him a headlamp and his favorite cookies.

And another couple hours were spent with Dr. Mario and his pills. Haha.

The next morning T helped Grandpa by cleaning out some things we had stored in his shop and then we packed up and hit the road so Boo could get back for her basketball practice that day. We had a great Thanksgiving with the family and can't wait to meet the newest member soon!
