Back to School!

We had to have pancake cereal for the first day of school! The girls were excited to meet their teachers and ready to go!

I thought Lou had a surprisingly easy first day and then the second day we realized that they had made a change so that you no longer click through your lesson at the bottom of the screen, but at the top. That meant we had skipped through the lessons and just taken the quizzes at the end which weren't supposed to be accessible unless you'd done the lesson. :P

She was happy though, that first day, and went outside to play once we were "finished". I looked out and saw that she had gotten headphones and the family phone and was listening to music and riding around the patio...complete with Daddy's sunglasses. :) She did that for almost an hour!

Our second day was pretty long and hard because we were doing two days worth of work. :P But we made it through and made a big note to click through at the TOP of the screen!!

Peaches had a good couple of first days. She made it to 5th grade where our favorite K12 teacher works and they honored my request that Peaches be put in her class so we now have Mrs. S for the 4th time! She's an amazing teacher and does a fabulous job making school interesting and fun!

I thought it was really funny...during Peaches first day orientation we spotted two familiar faces in her Power Point presentation!

Peaches is doing a great job staying on top of her lessons this year and only needs help with a few things and an occasional reminder to stay on task. :)

The big girls arrived back from their retreat that night and the next day it was their turn for a first day (in classroom). I went to take this picture of them leaving but then Boo forgot something and had to come back in. :)

Lou found this cool guy...I'm not sure if it was a butterfly or a moth.

That evening we went to town for our annual back to school ice cream!

Boo's friend H was visiting from Florida so she came with us and they stayed and hung out talking for a while.

So far things are going great and we are looking forward to a wonderful school year!
