I tried to keep the Advent calendar really simple this year since December was crazy, preparing for the wedding. The first day was the present of a Lego Advent calendar. I also found little Bluey chocolate calendars for the little ones.
Many of the days were a Christmas themed breakfast.
One day they got new socks...Bluey for Lou.
And Star Wars for Peaches.

We got to do our Grinch night when Bug was still with us.
The little ones made green cookies. :)
The candy cane hunt is always a favorite!
This was before the wedding so our Christmas tree corner was bare.

Peanut found an Elf puzzle when we were black Friday shopping so one night after the wedding we got it out and put on It's A Wonderful Life. The version we found was in color which was the first time I'd seen that and it was weird! This puzzle had a fun hidden message in it that was revealed after we finished!

On the 23rd we headed to Noni and Papa's for Christmas. We dropped off all our stuff, went and picked up Bug and F from the airport (getting back from their honeymoon), and then dropped them off at home and picked up everyone else. Mama wasn't feeling good so we didn't do our usual Chinese food. Instead we picked up Chik-Fil-A and then drove around looking at lights. One house had a real Santa and Mrs. Claus out front handing out candy canes!
And eventually we found the girls' favorite house.
They always do a great job. It didn't feel quite like Christmas with our record high temperatures and no snow, but we still had fun looking at the lights!
