Leftover Thursday

 Peanut and one of her besties from church discovered they had the same dress so they made plans to twin at church one Sunday. :)

 

 

The love of sour cream continues. 

 

 

Peanut finally got her vines put up in her room. She also did a little rearranging. I thought it turned out really nice!

 

 

The girls made their own pool out of the old water trough. It has no bottom so they fixed that by putting their slip and slide tarp in it. Very creative. :)

 

 

Peanut got stung by a yellow jacket and her ankle swelled up like a balloon. Thankfully it went down on its own and didn't need antibiotics.

 

 

Mustache night at AWANA was also Jax's birthday! Peaches really wanted to make him a cupcake so I let her mix a piece of crumbled bread with peanut butter and then "frost" it with more peanut butter. We put a milk bone on top for decoration. :)

 

 

I think he was happy with it. Haha.

 

 The kids got to do worship at church a few Sundays ago. They did a great job!

 

 

And Peaches played the offertory. Bravo!

Wordless Wednesday

 

AWANA!

 Awana is off to a great start!

 

 

Peaches is enjoying being one of the big kids in T&T! Here she is on mustache night. :)

 

 

Lou is doing awesome in Sparks! I know she misses Noni in Cubbies but she does great with her classmates and loves games.

Sometimes it is hard for Peaches to be the youngest/smallest in games because that means she doesn't win as often, but that makes it even more exciting when she does!

 

 

We had something new this year...a puppet show! This couple travels around and does them. The kids thought it was hilarious and giggled the whole time.

 

 

We're looking forward to another wonderful year of AWANA! 

Lou Laughs! - Part 11

May 21st

I had to wake her up early for Peaches 8am soccer game. She looked at me and said, "Mommy! Pick me up! My legs aren't working!" 

May 25th

 She went to Lowe's with Daddy and they stopped at Wendy's. He was listening to baseball on the radio and they said something about the umpire coming out. Lou said, "Daddy! Baseball has vampires?!" Daddy: "No not vampires, umpires. Lou: "Oh. Ok. Umpires....is that like vampires?!"

June 6th

"Mommy! Why did you not give me carrots?? I love carrots!" Me: "Ok. Peaches would you please give her one of your carrots?" Peaches puts a carrot on her plate. Lou: "No thank you! I only like carrots on Saturday...what day is it?" 

June 19th 

We saw some girls selling Girl Scout cookies which sparked a conversation of Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. Boo said, "What do the boys sell? The girls sell cookies." Daddy: "The boys don't sell anything." Boo: "So what do they do?" Lou pipes up: "They go to work! The girls sell cookies and the boys go to work!"

July 3rd

She was coloring pictures at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Peaches said, "I'm an artist!" Lou: "I'm an archeologist too!" Peaches, " Not an archeologist...an artist!" Lou, "Well you're a goat!"

July 30th

We were on the way to the dump and the windows were down. "Mommy! We're on a highway! And kids is a highway!" She was laughing and giggling, "I'm the wind!"

Leftover Thursday

 The other day the girls discovered they had a "secret" way to go through Noni and Papa's gate. Haha.

 

 

We have been enjoying these last warm fall days before the weather turns cold!

 

 

They helped Noni harvest her garden one day.

 

 

And learned to play croquet. :)

 

 

We've only seen deer from our house a couple times since living here. I think Jax scares them away, but the other day we looked across the road and there were 7 trotting across the field.

 

 

Sometimes I find Calico Critter family shoots on my phone. I guess this was the day for the mouse family.

 

 

And the Pandas. :)

Boise! - Part 3

 After seeing the new house we headed over to Chik-Fil-A for lunch!

 

 

Silly kiddos!

 

 

 

They played on the playset for a while and then Uncle A bought them ice cream! Lou was very happy! :)

 

 

We went back to the house and spent the afternoon relaxing.

 

 

The kids were "experimenting" and made a brew of all sorts of things from outside and things they snuck from the kitchen, haha.

 

 

We played cards and Peanut and M played some games.

 

 

Then they worked a puzzle.

 

 

Uncle A made us an amazing fajita dinner and then had an ice cream cake for dessert!

 

 

Little J wasn't wasting time with a spoon. Haha.

 

 

Noni did a devotion with the kids before bed. 

 

 

They got to make balloon faces.

 

 

The lesson was about not grumbling or complaining. Peanut is such a great artist!

 

 

 

They were a little wild with the balloons and it never seems like they are paying attention but the next morning when it was time to clean up Peaches started complaining and M said, "Hey E! Remember!? We aren't supposed to grumble or complain!" I guess he was paying attention after all! 

 

 

We let them play together for a while the next morning and then we had to say our goodbyes.

 

 

 

We got one last game of cards in while they played.

 

 

It's always hard to leave! But we are thankful for the time spent together!

 

 

We can't wait til next time! 

Boise! - Part 2

 After the swim lesson we headed to a new park to let the kids burn off some energy. It was a really cool park! They have come a long way in playground equipment. This was a safe teeter totter that could hold up to 8 kids!

 

 

They loved it!

 

 

This doesn't look that tall but in person it was really high! You can't see well but Peanut helped little J get up to the top and slide down multiple times. She is so sweet with him and did a great job being the oldest for the weekend.

 

 

They loved these big slides!

 

 

Here is a safe merry go round! I was impressed with all these new things.

 

 

It had little seats.

 

 

Lou liked these swings. I guess some things never change. :)

 

 

After we let them play for a bit we headed over their new house! It is being built and still at the studs so we got to do a house blessing! I had not brought warm enough clothes so Noni let me borrow her jacket...super cute! I think I need to get one. :) 

 

 

The kids had a great time running all over the house and writing bible verses. This will be the boys' room. They are all three going to share.

 

 

This is their dining room. It has a beautiful view! 

 

 

Little J is so adorable. He wanted to come upstairs but there aren't any safety walls so he sat on the stairs and colored.

 

 

I traced each of the kids' footprints coming in the door and then wrote Ephesians 5:8 at the end. "For you were once darkness but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of the light."

 

 

It's going to be a really pretty house! Lots of open space and high ceilings. 

 

 

This is Uncle A and Aunt K's bedroom.

 

 

And their closet.

 

 

This will be a playroom and extra bedroom.

 

 

Boys' room.

 

 

We can't wait to see the finished house!
