"Sitting"

I think I have mentioned that Peanut has a hard time sitting still during school sometimes...nothing like Buggy at this age, but she does have her days. She rarely sits the "right" way on a chair, and I've been snagging pictures of her more interesting positions.

Pretty sure you can't learn much like this. :P

This day Noni was over and the other girls got done with their schoolwork so she was dying to go play with them. I had to tell her about 20 times to pay attention and get her work done.

Stuck.

Interesting tidbit...at the beginning of the year she was having testing done and we were on a class connect with her teacher whom we really didn't know at the point. She got stuck like this and I was trying to get her out while she was trying to answer timed questions. Both of us were quietly struggling and trying to act like nothing crazy was happening because her teacher could hear us but not see us. Haha!

Another day...she brought her pillow and blanket.

Funny little bundle of energy. 

She has done a really good job with her schoolwork, and I think she'd be miserable in a traditional classroom where she would be forced to sit properly at a desk for most of the day. Thankfully for her she can get her work done in a couple hours and then be off and running the rest of the day! One of the best benefits of homeschool!

"Recital"

I'm sure this is one of those differences everyone talks about when they find out I have all girls. If they were all boys our days would probably be filled with wrestling matches and car races. 

Our days have plenty of crazy :P but we also get LOTS of sweet "shows" and "recitals". They will randomly run off, get dressed up, and come back to put on a show for me. 

Buggy...ever the inventor figured out a way to get them a curtain that opened. :)

The curtain fell down, but apparently she followed the adage, "The show must go on" and turned it into an impromptu prop. Haha! 

Boo joined in the fun. :)

Smokey, Pumpkin, and Cottonball

We needed to get the cats their rabies shots and we decided to get the two boys fixed. Noni, so sweetly, offered to take the cats to her vet for us. It was a school day, but Peanut didn't have any class connects so she and Peaches went with her. The cat cage door apparently fell off and Smokey escaped into the car while they were driving.

And then one of the boys escaped. I can just imagine the interesting ride that was with cats roaming about the cabin. Haha!

The cats did great. They only had to be left there for a couple of hours. Boo and Bug went back with her to pick them up.

Wordless Wednesday

March 1st

I forgot to post these pictures. I took them on March 1st when we were still in the midst of our crazy snow-fest. Thank goodness T got a tractor...he would have spent weeks snow-blowing! As it was he had to plow with his tractor 4 or 5 nights for almost an hour each just so we could get in and out of our driveway.

This is a pile of gravel. It made a good slide. :)

This was before Buggy figured out how to combine her snow pants and boots so that snow didn't go down in them. Wet ankles don't feel so great.

At least someone was happy to be out in the snow! :)

Peanut's cat Smokey is the most friendly...and is the only girl. I thought it was a boy, but I was mistaken. Haha.

Speaking of cats...I heard this terribly loud rustling noise and noticed that the cats were up IN the tree! You can see the two orange ones about 3/4 of the way up! Goofy cats!

They didn't seem to have any trouble getting down. I don't know why the cliche of cats stuck in the tree exists. They can get up and down just fine.

Boo helped Daddy change a belt in his pickup one frosty Saturday.

Book Reports

Boo and Peanut both had book report units the other day, and they both chose the mobile format. Or maybe Peanut chose it because she liked Boo's. ;)

I had never read Freddy the Detective before although apparently it is a classic. It was pretty cute!

Trouble Maker

Peaches continues to be a handful. This day she found Buggy's chapstick. Unfortunately it was "Hershey's Chocolate" flavored and stains. Thankfully after 3 washes and a variety of stain removers I was able to save the comforter.

 

This is what she looked like after she got cleaned up. She was purple all day. :P When will this phase end??

We have child locks on the doors and if we leave them off she escapes. Boo had gone to get the mail this day and a few minutes after she came back in I realized Peaches was no where to be found. She was so hasty to get out the door that she must have grabbed the first pair of shoes she could find. :P

 

And accidentally walked out of them when I called her in. I think it was about 45 degrees. :P

 

What will she do next?
