After doing our best to stay home for weeks we were getting a little antsy so one Sunday night we hopped in the car and went to look at some Christmas lights. We thought a walk around outside to look at lights would be just about the safest thing we could do...unfortunately a lot of other people had the same idea so we ended up wearing masks anyway and trying to stay away from people, but it was still fun and a little adventure to get out of the house.
Peaches has been really into Santa this year even though we've never done anything to push her in that direction. She really wanted to get her picture taken with this Santa statue. :)
The lights at the resort we went to were so pretty!
We ran through a little strip mall and ran into Frosty.
Peaches was SO excited and happy! It was the highlight of her night and she talked about it for weeks after.
On the way out we saw the fun candy store. You can't go in it anymore but they put all the candy in the windows and you can order over the counter placed at the door.
Lou loved looking at all the colorful candy!
We hopped back in the car and saw that the donut shop that their cousins always talk about was open. We popped in and got a donut for dessert and one for the next morning.
Then we stopped at Sonic for dinner and ate in the car on the way home. Here are the donuts the girls picked. Funny story...the bottom left one with the chocolate stripes...the guy said it was filled with chocolate chips, but through his mask I heard "taco chips". I was thinking, "What??" Lol. But it truly was completely filled with big chocolate chips!
It was a fun little escape for the night!
