We made it through the dreaded 4 year doctor's visit! I was not looking forward to having to get shots for K, but she was very brave. We went in, sufficiently bribed with the promise of a Jr. candy sundae from Sonic. :)
And, while not overly happy about it, she obeyed each command she was given.
And even took a little time to snap some pictures of her sister.
When the doctor first started examining her, her look was downright suspicious...(love the nakey monkey in the reflection)
...but she soon relaxed and even laughed when the doctor "tickled" her tummy to feel her insides. They said both girls look great! And the good news is that Boo bear gained 4 pounds since her 12 month appointment! Wow, we need to cut back on the cookies! Haha:) So here are the stats:
Boo
Weight: 21.4lbs - 26%
Height: 31.5 in. - 79%
Head Cir. 18.3 - 67%
Bug
Weight: 36.1lbs - 60%
Height: 41 in. - 78%
We are so happy to see both our girls in a normal range for weight. We have been working on their eating habits. Neither one of them will eat any vegetables other than corn (and K will eat carrots). But since their weight is reflecting good eating that takes a lot of the pressure off of me. The only bad news of the appointment is that Boo's tear ducts are still plugged so we will have to go see a pediatric optometrist to get them probed (hopefully no surgery). They both cried during their shots, but settled down quickly as soon as it was over, and Bug doesn't have to have any more shots until she is 11 years old! Yipee!
It was a pretty good appointment all around!
Ali has that polka dotted shirt, too!
ReplyDeleteHave Boo's tear ducts always been plugged? Noah still hasn't gotten any tears, which I find to be really odd.
