Swap Meet!

One of the most fun excursions for us girls was the Swap Meet! One of the car rental attendants told us about it. They are only open for a few hours every Saturday but it was really nice and the perfect area for it!

 

 

Peaches wanted a picture with this pretty hibiscus on the way in. :)

 

 

This guy was sitting here hand carving these amazing pieces of art! The detail was incredible.

 

 

They had everything you could imagine! The girls really liked the jewelry.

 

 

They also had these funny wooden frogs with ridges on their backs and when you ran the corresponding stick over it, it actually sounded like the croak of a frog! We almost bought you one Aunt K but we refrained. :)

 

 

At this stand the girls stopped to look at the display dog and the lady said his name was Jax!

 

 

Noni picked out gifts for her Sunday School girls.

 

 

Noni, Boo, and Peaches found a booth of Christians who were singing and handing out bibles. 

 

 

 

We stayed for several hours and got lots of souvenirs!

 

 

Lou kept working on her "Shaka" sign. :)

 

 

It was fun driving around the island. The swap meet was actually on the grounds of the college there. 

 

 

 

We thought this was hilarious...a place near the airport called Very Rich Dead People's Stuff 4 Sale. Lol! 

 

 

 

We bought some papaya, mango, and starfruit at the swap meet and did a taste test when we got back. They were pretty much all a bust. I think Boo liked the papaya. The starfruit really didn't have much flavor...kind of like a bland strawberry. Oh well. We can at least say we tried them. :)
