Another amazing year of VBS is in the books! Noni knocked it out of the park once again and we had our biggest numbers to date! There were 150 kids registered, but we averaged 120 a day. What really made it seem busy was the amount of workers we had this year...84 registered to help with an average of 70 per day. It was crowded, loud, and so much fun!
The theme was games: card games, word games, board games, video games, you name it! Boo, R, and Miss A were the emcees once again and chose to go with a Mario theme.
Boo and R did an amazing job leading the kids once again...I am so impressed by their confidence and leadership abilities. There's no way I could have been up there corralling 200 people when I was that age! They had a fun game each morning to get things kicked off. This day Peanut and her friends got to go up and play it while the kids cheered them on. They had to transfer M&M's to a bowl using a straw.

The first day I tried something new and did popcorn!
It seemed to be a hit and so many people commented on how good it smelled.
Bug was doing her NAC class at this point but she had Mondays off so she came in and helped out by making 6 batches of sugar cookie dough for me!
Boo was a game leader again this year and kept the kids busy outside. It was only in the 70's but after a cool Spring that felt really hot to everyone!
At the end of each day Boo and R would come up on stage with a little skit to help the kids remember the day's bible lesson. This one had to do with being fishers of men.
Morning 2 started off with a lifesize game of Hungry Hungry Hippos and Peaches got chosen as one of the contestants!
It was funny and she had lots of people shouting her name. :)
Day 2 for me was Domino brownies! I tell myself every year not to use brownies...they are so difficult to work with...maybe next year I'll listen.
Lou and M got to be in the same class this year. :)
And Peaches friend S was back so she was super happy!
Day 2 was also the petting zoo! There was a huge llama, baby goats, a ram,
baby lambs, and our kittens. Apparently this is the only picture I got.
It started out a little rough as the kittens were really freaked out and
two of them escaped as we were trying to get them back in the cage.
They were finally rescued and put away and eventually calmed down and
let all the kids hold them.
When we got home I went to get them out of the car and they were all looking at me like, "What the heck was that?!" Haha!
