The Birthday - Part 2

We always let the birthday kid pick where they want to go out to lunch...so since we weren't able to actually go in to any place we picked up Subway and had a picnic at the baseball field. 

Daddy left work for a bit and joined us. Lou enjoyed eating outside and we were blessed with a beautiful sunny day!

 

After we were done eating the girls ran off to play. 

 

I never quite got the full story but somehow Peaches fell off the scooter...she was wearing a helmet but when she tripped she rammed her forehead into the end of one of the handle somehow. She had a huge lump for days.

The girls found some chalk in the car and wrote Jesus loves you on the basketball court before leaving. :)

Mama bought Bug these cute sandals.

For her cake this year she combined her two passions, art and baking. This is a "brushstroke" cake and the brushstrokes are made from melted chocolate.

She chose sloppy joes for her birthday dinner...I didn't realize til later that I didn't quite get Lou in the picture. :P

We got her some rubber rain boots.

And she got birthday money from almost all of the family! She is excited to go shopping!

For Bug's party we did a Zoom party. We invited 4 of her friends. She had painted a set of cards for each of her friends so they could play ColorBrain, and then I made a handful of clues for each person to do charades, and we had mailed them to each friend. I didn't do anything else. She and her friend A handled everything and they stayed on for almost two hours! There was lots of laughter, and Bug said it was a lot of fun. She let Boo and Peanut "attend" on separate computers in other parts of the house. :)  

My friend sent me this picture of A on her end of the party. :) They hosted it for us since they have the upgraded Zoom and could let it last more than 40 minutes. So nice!

I still can't believe we have a teenager on our hands! Our girl is growing up so fast!
