Electrical has been the name of the game for the past month. It is a lot of work to bring in a new 200amp service.
Peaches has been so interested in what was under the house and curiously asks about it whenever the hatch is open. One day T put her down in it so she could see. Apparently it was everything she dreamed it would be. Haha.
I can't remember if I showed these pictures already...the ditch to run power to the house instead of big wires and tubes running straight into the front of the house. :P
Sometimes those thick wires just don't want to go through the bends very easily.
One morning we all got up early to the wonderful present of concrete! The girls were excited to watch and had a front row seat to the action.
They also wanted to go around and check it out.
Here it is after the initial pour.
I was super impressed with the crew. They ended up staying for TEN hours! A lot of the time they just had to sit around and wait for it to set up, but when they could work it they went over and over and over every square inch making sure it was perfectly smooth.
The hard part was keeping Jax inside all day. He whined and whined and whined some more. :P And he did not care for the leash at all!
Before they left they screwed some plywood to the entrances so he couldn't go make paw prints all over. A few days later we let the little ones on it and there were tiny dust footprints. :)
The girls have used the heck out of the floor since we allowed them on it. We've barely parked in there at all because it is now a roller blading, scootering, and bike riding rink.
We'll see how often we're actually able to use it for it's intended purpose. :)
