A Father's Day Baptism

We had an extra special Father's Day celebration over here...Peanut chose to get baptized!

Here she is with the Father's Day gift she made in Sunday School. :)

Mama, Grandma, and Grandpa were able to join us at church!

As soon as church was over the people getting baptized changed. I fed the baby quickly before church got over so I didn't miss anything!

Peanut was a little nervous about giving her testimony, but she ended up being very brave and speaking clearly and loudly like we practiced. She said, "On May 19, 2016 I asked Jesus into my heart because I wanted to go to heaven. My sister, K, helped me and then I talked to my mom and we prayed together. I want to be baptized to show everyone that I love Jesus."

Daddy got to do the honors. "I baptize you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit."

Dead to sin.

Raised to life!

SO happy!

We are so amazingly proud of our Peanut! What an important choice she has made, to follow Jesus!

Three down, two to go. ;)

There were two other baptisms, and then the other kids wanted a chance to cool off since it was pretty hot!

Which quickly deteriorated into a pool of fully clothed kids. Haha!

We had a BBQ potluck and enjoyed some good fellowship before Grandma and Grandpa came home with us to help at the house. The big girls stayed with Noni to help get ready for VBS.

Peaches has done amazingly well navigating our d̶i̶s̶a̶s̶t̶e̶r̶ ̶z̶o̶n̶e̶ I mean construction zone of a house, but she finally had her first big accident when she fell through part of the rotting porch and scraped her leg all up. :(

She actually didn't cry all that hard though and went down for a nap just fine. Later we all headed in to town for dinner. We gave Peanut a little cross necklace like the ones we gave Bug, and Boo.

We had dinner with Grandma and Grandpa, and Papa and Noni.

We are so blessed to have family to be part of our special moments, and so blessed by the amazing father's in our lives!

Not everyone could be the father of FIVE girls, but T does a great job loving them and making them feel loved. They adore him. I don't know how he does all that he does. He works hard at the hospital, managing literally hundreds of people, and then comes home to build a home for us while still managing to take time for his girls. He is amazing and we are truly blessed.

We hope all the other wonderful father's we know had a great day as well!
