Camping - Round 2

We've had a church camp out on the calendar for several months and were excited to head down. The forecast indicated that it was going to be a little too cold for boating activities so not very many families came, but it actually did warm up and we had a lot of fun with the few of us that were there!

Noni helped the girls make a train layout and town using only forest materials. They had a great time!

Apparently I didn't get a finished picture which is a bummer because they did such a good job! They had a bridge, and a tunnel (half a small hollow log) and even a community garden! It was so cute!

We bought a tent in the hopes that Noni and Papa would want to camp with the girls. T, Peaches, and I got to stay in the cabin. Haha :) The tent was really nice...three "bedrooms" and supposedly slept 12 although that would be some tight quarters!

Saturday that adults had a great time playing many rounds of Pinochle.

We played it the regular way, and learned how to play 5 handed.

We didn't take our boat, but one of the other couples did so the girls got to do some tubing and T went water skiing.

We weren't allowed to have a campfire due to fire danger being high, but the girls really wanted to do smores so Papa fired up his little campstove and let them roast their marshmallows.

We had a nice time relaxing and chatting with friends.

The next morning a few more families came out and we had a small church service.

We sang a couple songs.

And Pastor preached a short sermon.

And we also got to have a baptism! I love watching people get baptized. So great. Boo wants to get baptized, but she decided she is going to wait and do it at church. If we had done it while camping Grandma, Grandpa, and Mama would have missed it.
