NINE!

Nine years ago today T and I became parents. I can hardly believe nine years have gone so fast. We now have a beautiful, big, nine year old girl! 

Our Buggy is getting so grown up these days, and she has been such a big help since Peaches was born! She is such a good big sister and loves to hold the baby. She is also good about helping with meals when I am busy feeding the baby. 

Buggy can be so sweet and thoughtful. She loves making things, and often brings us little gifts. She made me a sweet little "M" ornament out of Beados the other morning and I hung it up by my nightstand. Gift giving is definitely a big love language for her! 

Buggy is VERY creative and can make something out of anything. I saw a quote the other day that said something like, "Creativity is intelligence having fun." That is totally Buggy. She is extremely smart and always creating things out of "found" materials. If we can just harness and direct all that intelligence and creativity I know she will grow up to do amazing things!

Buggy is still full of energy and doesn't like to sit still unless she's reading...which she can do for hours on end! She is not a big fan of schoolwork and tries to get done as quickly as possible so she can go play. We do have to work on having a good attitude about school...some days are better than others. I can tell she maturing though because she can do a lot of her schoolwork without me now and doesn't need to be re-directed as much as she used to be. She does enjoy History, and usually Science and Art. 

One of her favorite new things is watching This Old House with Daddy after the little ones all go to bed. She is such a high energy person that she has never needed as much sleep as everyone else so we usually let her stay up till 9. She and Daddy love This Old House and she is the only 9 year old I know that knows who Tom Silva, Norm Abram, and Kevin O'Conner are. Haha :)

Dear Buggy,

Happy Birthday sweet girl! It is so fun watching you mature and grow. You are such a great helper and so thoughtful and sweet when you want to be. Your sisters love to play with you and look up to you so much. They want to everything just like you. 

I've loved watching you grow in your faith this past year. I love to see you hiding God's word in your heart and learning more and more about God. I pray that your love for Him continues to grow each and every day. You are passionate and spirited, and go after things with all you've got. I know He is going to do amazing things with your life if you continue to seek Him and His will for your life.

I hope this is your best year ever Buggy girl! Your last year in the single digits! Let make it a great one! 

I love you so much, and even though you are nine now you will always be my baby girl!
