The girls were SO excited for VBS this year!
Our theme was Journey off the Map: Jesus is our Guide so we decorated in a jungle-ish way and all my snacks (I was the snack leader) were bug themed. Of course I forgot to take pictures of them. Haha :) Here was my schedule:
Monday: Grape Caterpillars
Tuesday: Trail Mix Butterflies
Wednesday: Jelly Butterflies (jelly sandwiches cut into butterflies and flower shapes)
Thursday: Spider Bugs (pigs in a blanket with potato sticks for legs and ketchup eyes)
Friday: Worms in Dirt (chocolate pudding, Oreo crumbs and gummy worms).
Here are the big two on the first day!
Cousin A was able to come the first day! She left to go home the next day.

This was Boo’s first year to experience the “real” VBS and not be in the Preschool room. The 3 and 4 year olds stay in one room the whole day (except for a brief recess outside) but the older kids get to go from station to station: large group, story time, crafts, bible verse, lesson, snacks, and games. Much more exciting!
There she goes!
Peanut did not want to go in the Preschool room and since she technically wasn’t old enough anyway I didn’t push it. She either stayed in the kitchen with me or went around with Noni.
She loved to help “ ‘liver the snacks!”. There’s my grape caterpillars down there….just grapes on a stick with little eyes.
At the end of each day the kids were allowed to go up on the stage if they wanted and do the hand motions to all the songs. They loved it!
Noni was dressed up all cute as a “guide” to teach her lesson.
Here’s what Peanut did the majority of most days…colored. They had, wisely, covered the tables in paper so the kids could color all over them. They loved it!
