More VBS

There goes Peanut again…helping ‘liver snacks

Snacks were always given during bible verse memory and in whatever room wasn’t being used that day (each teacher got one day off). This day was in the Lion’s Den. My friends’ husband built some wood scaffolding for her to cover in brown paper and make a cave.

And I painted these lions (off an overhead) for her to decorate with.

This was the last day: worms in dirt. No matter what the VBS theme is we always do worms in dirt the last day. It’s the fan favorite!

I snuck in the craft room to get a couple pictures of Buggy’s group.

And when I delivered the sports guys snacks I grabbed a couple of pictures of Boo playing ball.

Here was our fundraiser this year…raising money to buy portions of the bible that are being translated into another language for native tribes people in South America. It’s always a contest between the boys and girls.

The tiny feet were $1, medium were $5 and the big ones were $100! I couldn’t believe how much money they raised! The goal was $800 and we raised over $1200! The boys won the contest, but the girls always win, so we were ok with that. :)

The last day the kids were really belting out the songs and doing all the motions. It was really fun!

What a great VBS!

We ended the week with our usual BBQ for kids and parents and everyone had a great time. It was a busy busy week but we loved it!
