T-Ball!

This was a big T-ball filled weekend for us!  Buggy has been very excited about playing this year and has been doing great at all the practices.  She is shaping up to be a strong little player!

T is not only Buggy’s coach, he’s also the Vice President for the Little League so he had to get up bright and early on Saturday morning to be at the field at 7am to set up for the opening ceremonies.  We joined him at 9:45 and each team got to run out on the field and be introduced to all the fans.

It was a long day, but the kids had fun running around between events.  We had pictures at 11:30, lunch, our first game at 12:30 and a second game at 2!  There are five t-ball teams this year so in order for everyone to get to play on opening day our team had to play twice.  The kids did great!  T and his assistant coach have been working hard with them at our four practices and it showed!  They were actually getting into the game…rather than picking dandelions :) although by the end they were all pretty exhausted and ready to be done.

Buggy up to bat!  She is only one of three girls and she did GREAT!  She made one of the best hits of the day whacking the ball all the way to the outfield!

Boo Bear had spent the night with Noni so she didn’t have to stand around all day.  Peanut was such a good girl!  I carried her around in the front pack for about 2.5 hours in the morning and she fell alseep for half that time.  Then I ran home and fed her and we made it back just in time for the first game.  She sat on her blanket and played with her toys.

I didn’t even think about using sunscreen since it was by no means warm, and her nose and cheeks are a little pink.  Oops.

We don’t keep score in T-ball so we’ll call the games a tie.  The kids had fun and enjoyed playing.
