Mission Trip(s)

 Instead of having one big mission trip this year the youth did three day trips. Pastor J has been doing pulpit supply every now and then for a church that is almost three hours away. They do not have a youth group and our youth are so self sufficient that he had the idea to help the church start a youth group. 

He took the youth up there one month and showed the teens there how to put on a youth event. Then they went the next month and helped the kids put on their own youth event. Then for their third trip they went and just monitored the other kids lead a youth event. I guess their youth group reaches kids from several churches in the area...some up to thirty minutes away. 

They took the school bus one of the days because the shuttle bus wasn't working.

 

 

Our kids showed them how to lead worship. Boo played the piano and some of them, including Bug, sang.

 

 

Here they are teaching one of the local kids a song. 

 

 

They also set up and played games.

 

 

And another Sunday they did our churches' "Mission Minute" and talked about their trip.

 

 

It was a good experience for our kids and they really enjoyed it! And we are praying that the youth group they planted grows strong and reaches many kids!
