Our Halloween was a little different this year. We were supposed to go up to the hospital to trick-or-treat at 5 and then meet friends at six, but there ended up being a problem at the hospital and we weren't able to go. So instead at 5:45 we picked up Peanut's friend S and ran over to our friends B&J's house to trick-or treat.
We love this sweet couple and are so thankful they joined our church a few years ago!
Then we went to the B family's house and met up with friends! In addition to our zoo animals there were elfin warriors, police officers, some Despicable Me characters. a knight, and Little Red Riding Hood and the wolf. :)
The girls had a blast trick-or-treating with their friends!
We usually start out at 5 and that extra hour made a big difference in their candy gathering. They only got about half of what they usually do...of course it might not be the extra hour that's to blame. With inflation, candy prices were way more than usual this year!
But they had a great time and did get about half a bucket of candy.
Daddy ended up missing all of trick-or-treating. :( He finally got off work about 7:30 and met up with us right as we were getting done. We grabbed a family picture when we got home. This place feels like a crazy zoo most of the time so our costumes were fitting this year. Haha.
Then it was upstairs for the candy sort and trading.
