In order to make the basement safer (in case of fire) we decided to put two egress windows in the South side. One Saturday it was my goal to get the wells dug. The girls helped me. Peanut found lots of wormy pets.
Buggy dug for a bit but then helped me the most by keeping the baby entertained...mostly by taking pictures.
Once the holes were dug Daddy and Grandpa rented a concrete saw and started cutting into the walls.
And we soon had two nice big windows...much brighter downstairs!
And since they already had the concrete saw they cut up the floor for plumbing a bathroom downstairs.
Dig, dig, dig.
