Christmas Morning

On Christmas morning baby M got up at 4:45 to eat and woke up her brother who didn’t go back to sleep, but he did a great job of staying quiet so the rest of us could get a little more sleep. The other kids woke up around 7 except for Peanut.

They were able to get their “Santa” presents to hold them over while waiting for her to wake up. :)

When she finally woke up at about 8:30 hers was the only present left under the trees. She was quite happy with her “Anna! Esa!”

And especially with what was inside…”Esa dwess!”

We made the kids slow down long enough to pose for a few pictures. Seven cousins!

Our first order of business was to sing Happy Birthday to Jesus.

Then we let them dive in.

To cut down on the massive piles of presents we draw names now. Here is a shirt we got W.

Grandma wins the best presents award this year! She got the girls several Lego Friends sets. They were thrilled!

After the kids got their presents opened we ate breakfast, cinnamon rolls, and then the adults started opening their presents while the kids played with all their new things. Daddy helped Peanut put together some of her Legos. You can see she’s yawning because she’d missed three naps in a row (two of her own choosing…who can sleep with all this excitement!).

Boo is getting good at following the directions!

I bought T a weight bench and a bunch of weights for Christmas. We’re planning to turn the basement into a playroom/workout room.

The kids ran and played and ran and played all day.  Here they are later in the day trying on their new dress up clothes. Queen Elsa.

They’ve already worn holes in their dresses in several places. We’re taking them to Noni’s for reinforcement!
