Leaving Arizona

While we were in Arizona having fun, the girls were having a ball at Noni and Papa’s!  They got to do all sorts of fun stuff!  Here are two of the pictures Noni texted me.

Peanut was missing us so they looked at some pictures.  Noni said she was walking around the house saying, “Mommmmy, Daddddy. Mommmy, Dadddy.”

I soaked up another hour of sunshine on Saturday (our last day) and then checked out of the room and picked T up at the Lobby.  We hit Chik-Fil-A on the way to another ballpark…yum!

We got to watch our third game in 72 hours (T’s idea of heaven) at Chase stadium.  It was a gorgeous day, and we had another set of great seats!

We were sitting in the direct sun and were dripping with sweat by the fourth inning so we walked around and found an empty row in the shade for a while.

It felt totally empty in there since they can seat 40,000.  There were actually more people there than any other game.  There were 11,000+ at our first game (the sold out one), 9,500+ at the second, and 16,000+ at this last one.

It was a great game and pretty exciting!  Once again the people who left early missed all the fun!  The score was pretty low and then at the end the Diamondbacks turned it around on the Cubs and the final score was 8-6.  Great game.

We got gas and cleaned out the car and then headed to the airport.  We’d been told to come early since it was the last game of Spring Training and all those fans/families would be leaving.  Thankfully the airport wasn’t that bad and we were able to enjoy a leisurely dinner and a chat with the girls before boarding.

K had big news.  She lost another tooth!

We played cards most of the way back and it was a smooth, easy flight.  We had figured out on the way down that it was the first time T and I had been on a plane alone since our honeymoon! 

What a wonderful trip!!!  The girls had a great time and did just fine without us and we had a wonderful time relaxing and having a four-day long “date night”.  I’m so glad we did it! 

Thank you SO SO much for watching the girls Noni and Papa!!!  It was easy to enjoy ourselves knowing they were in such great hands!
