17 Months

17 months has brought a few changes.  Peanut says a new words pretty much every day and attempts to repeat everything we say to her.  “Bup” for up is her new favorite.

She is as busy as ever and always getting into something.  She is a finder.  She can find almost everything…like her sister’s underwear which she wears around her wrists like handcuffs. :)

She is also really good at zippers.  She’s been doing zippers for a while, but the other day I came around the corner and was surprised with a buck naked baby.  She had unzipped her jammies, gotten out of them, and then proceeded to unfasten her diaper and take it off.  She proudly handed it to me and then took off in the other direction.  Haha :)

The diaper has been our biggest change in the last few weeks.  She has started to say “peh peh” for any…activity…in her diaper and wants a clean one on at all times.  She frequently says “Peh peh” and pats or points to her diaper and then toddles over to her changing table for me to change her.  The other two definitely didn’t do that at this age!  I’m hoping this means she’ll be the easiest to potty train. :)

She loves shoes.  She used to just carry them around and fill them with all manner of items, but now she has started to try them on and walk around in them.

She is a little copycat and I often remind the girls to be a good example as she closely watches EVERYTHING they do! 

Here she is copying Daddy.  He was sitting on the couch with his phone so she got her phone, climbed up on the other couch and started “playing” on her phone just like he was.

After I took that picture she held her phone up to me and said, “Chee!”

She’s our funny, happy-most-of-the-time, silly, baby-for-not-much-longer girl!
