The other day we were playing Rapunzel (who am I kidding…that’s EVERY day around here!) and, calling the girls to lunch I said, “RaaaaPUNzel! I made your favorite! Hazelnut soooouuup!”
That led to a discussion of what exactly Hazelnut soup WAS and if we could actually make it. So T Googled it and came up with a recipe for the famous Hazelnut soup. It’s pretty much a butternut squash soup with some crushed hazelnuts on top.
The girls were quite excited, and Boo had just received her own, life-sized Pascal from Uncle Sean and Jen for her birthday!
“Pasca-wey!”
Alas, it wasn’t a big hit. They enthusiastically ate a few bites, but the excitement wore off pretty quick. Haha, at least I can say I tried! :)
Ohhh, I think I would like hazelnut soup with Rapunzel and Pascal!
