Leftover Thursday

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!  

 

T had a quick conference the day of the baby shower. Noni agreed to stay with the girls so I was able to go with him and have a little pre-baby getaway. He had a dinner Sunday night and then was in meetings most of Monday, but I was able to relax in the room and actually sat still long enough to watch a movie...it's been a while since I did that! Although I did get all my baby shower thank you's done while watching it. I think completely sitting still is no longer within my power. Lol! 

The next day I did errands and a little shopping while he had his meetings. The only picture I took was of one of the ballrooms to show the girls. This is a very old historic hotel that they have re-done. It's gorgeous! After T finished up his meetings he was able to go to the doctor with me for the first time this pregnancy! I think he went to every single appointment with the first two and most with Peanut...a few with Peaches, but he's been so busy between the house and work that this is the first time he's made it...just in time! Haha. After that we met up with Noni and the girls and did our Operation Christmas Child shopping...pics of that later! 

Aunt Karen sent the girls stickers and $2 each for Halloween...Bug added some of her own money and got this little guy. They love these little Beanie babies.

I had to drive T's pickup one day and came around the corner to find this...just a part of farm life I guess?? Lol!

This little ham loves to make us laugh!

Wordless Wednesday

Showering Baby

 The ladies at church threw baby a shower! It was so sweet and I was so thankful! Not only for all the lovely things, but because baby will be able to look back at these pictures and see that she was just as loved and celebrated as if she was our very first baby girl! That means a lot to me! 

The girls looked forward to the day for weeks! Peaches said, "I so escited!"

There is a lady in our church that makes beautiful cakes! This time she made a cupcake-cake! So sweet! And it was delicious to boot! 

We are incredibly blessed to be part of such a loving church family!!!

Mama and Grandma were able to come too!

One of the games was making a baby out of play doh. :) 

I think Noni helped Peanut with hers. :) 

And Buggy...ever the creative artist! 

Two of the families went together and got us beautiful teal colored Christmas dresses for all five girls! They are gorgeous and the girls were so excited to have their own present to open! I can't wait for Christmas so they can wear them!

Grandma and Grandpa got the baby a giraffe lovey! 

Check out all these diapers! We are well stocked! Noni, Mama, Aunt Karen, and Aunt Jody got us a bin of all sorts of great and practical stuff...plus Amazon gift cards so we could buy a new baby monitor! The sound stopped working on Peache's....not very helpful for a baby monitor. Haha.

P.S. It was a lunch shower since it was right after church. Peaches ate pretty much nothing but a roll and one carrot (so she could get a cupcake). She was laying in my lap and tipped back. She does this often wanting us to tickle her belly. I complied, not realizing she still had a mouth full of food while she was hanging pretty much upside down. So when I brought her back up she started gagging and puked in my hand. She's good at keeping my motherhood skills fresh and ready to go for baby! Lol! 

Turkey Bingo!

I need to go back and get these pre-baby posts in...

Man, where is the time going?! I can't believe December is here! We always kick off November with a Turkey Bingo fundraiser! The girls love it! Next year I need to bring entertainment for Peaches. I thought I remembered the daubers being washable...I didn't get a good pic of Peaches but her arms were colorful for days! :P

Boo got a Bingo! And pretty soon after we arrived! She won a bag of potatoes. :) 

Buggy is looking so grown up and pretty these days! 

Peanut was able to play really well and stayed interested the whole time! I think that's a first.

Paddles are always the most fun. I love how Peaches is looking to Peanut to see what they were supposed to do. 

Now she's got it figured out! Haha! 

And Peanut WON! She was SO excited! I think that was the first time she's won!

And she got a full meal deal! Way to go Peanut! 

I took the little ones home at bedtime...I think Noni and Papa also  won a bag of potatoes and a turkey! What a fun night of bingo-ing. :)

School Projects

School has been going really well so far! Of course it always takes a good solid month to get back into the school routine and this year our month was interrupted by moving, but the girls kept plugging along and found a routine pretty quickly. 

Buggy is doing very well at being independent and most days can handle things completely on her own. Every now and then she needs help, but I've been very happy with how well she has taken over the responsibility of her own work.  

Here are some pictures of a few of the fun projects they've done so far. Peanut and I had to read Ramona the Brave with her class and she had fun with it. They had to do some kind of art project to represent the book and she chose to make an owl like Ramona does at the beginning. :)

Another week she had to pick a word from the chapter and learn what it meant. She chose spunk.

I thought she did a great job on her final project which needed to included the 5 main elements: setting, characters, events, problem, and solution. You can click on the picture to expand it. I loved her artwork. Her favorite part was when Ramona says a bad word, "guts". Haha!

Here are a couple of Boo's art projects. She also had a book and book report to do. She chose Henry Huggins which I enjoyed because I had never read it. Peanut loved that he is in the same class as Beezus and it mentioned Ramona a couple of times. This looks small, but is actually a large poster board that she did with all the story elements.

 One day in art she had to make a genre calendar page like the Limbourg brothers did in France. 

Another art project...Bruneschelli's dome in Florence, Italy. 

And another art project was creating a sculpture of an animal out of clay. She chose a tiger. :) 

 

Peanut's teacher has had two gatherings nearby so we've been able to see her twice. Peanut loves her! 

 

These aren't actually school work but Peanut has been making books. She does them all by herself and I love the phonetic spelling. :)
