We remembered to bring the little ones' scooters and I was so glad we did because every morning we would let the big girls sleep in and we went out to do the loop.
We had perfect weather while we were there. I had been worried because the highest temp said 74 but I think it was actually warmer than that, but it wasn't hot which was so nice! Not sure what Lou's pose is here. :)
Every day when we passed this hill they had to do several runs. :)
Once we would get back to the hotel they would play in the sand for a while.
The lake water was too cold for me but they swam in it every day!
I wasn't paying attention to what they were doing until they said, "Come see Mommy!" Sweet girls. :)
They wanted a picture with these flowers on the way back to the room.
We had a great room this year! Our little patio was only a few steps from the beach and we went in and out all day. Beach, pool, hot tub, room, and back again the whole trip!
I think Peaches enjoyed the beach the most. She loves digging in the sand!
Lou is my chilly baby and mostly enjoys warming herself in the sand. :)
They made friends with whoever was around and played off and on with them.
Lou let Peaches turn her into a mermaid.
And whenever she got too cold she talked Peaches into going to the hot tub with her.
They had a blast!
The big girls spent their time shopping! This is the only picture they sent me. They found the same giant pepper mill that the waitress had at the restaurant the night before. :)
After T got done with his meetings we checked out kayaks and headed out!
Peaches rode with T and Lou rode with me.
We paddled all the way down to the little dam and back.
I had my phone in a sandwich bag to keep it dry so the pictures are a tad blurry, but we had so much fun!
I love kayaking! We need to take time to do it more!
Monday night is usually the fancy dinner with T's board of commissioners but they weren't able to get reservations anywhere this year so his PR gal ended up picking up pizzas and salads and we ate at the picnic tables outside the rooms. It was actually really nice because it was more relaxed and the kids were able to play. Boo brought her volleyball and our girls and Mr. T's boys spent a long time playing together.
They lost the ball over the fence a couple times and it landed on the dock below. Lou went down to get it one of the times and slipped on the wet dock and got about a dozen slivers in her foot! She was super brave as Daddy and Mr. T dug them all out. Since they were wet wood they were just falling apart and not coming out easily. Her poor foot was bleeding in several spots but she didn't even cry!
While we were dealing with that the other kids went down to the beach and Peanut ended up in a water war with the boys and all three got completely soaked so they gave up and swam out to the dock to jump off. :P
We got Lou all bandaged up and got her some socks and tennis shoes while Peanut changed out of her wet clothes and then walked over to get Frozen Yogurt before bed.
It was a busy, fun day! Last of the pictures tomorrow!
